Pool Policies:
• No Athletic apparel, Jerseys or basketball shorts
• No jeans, cargos, ripped clothing, sweats or baggy swim attire
• No excessive chains/jewelry
• No dress shoes, boots or socks worn with sandals
• No clothes with images of or references to drugs or drug use
• Swimwear must be on prior to entering the venue
• Socks are not permitted when wearing flip flops or sandals
• No medium/large bags. Clutch size bags only
• No outside food and beverage
• Friday-Sunday 21+
• No outside photography equipment

What better way to officially kick off Fall in the tropics than with a very South Florida version of the celebration of all things beer – Oktoberfest! The Eden Roc Miami Beach’s Ocean Social is partnering with Cervecería La Tropical, the Wynwood destination that has resurrected the legendary Havana brewery, to host a Miami-style RocToberfest on Saturday, September 30, 2023. The daytime celebration will take place on the property’s lower level, poolside at Aquatica from 11AM to 4PM and is open to the public.

Munch on tropically remixed Oktoberfest bites from Executive Chef Tristen Epps including Milanesa Schnitzel, Choripan Wurst, Oxtail Sauerbraten, Beer Cheese Fundido, Spicy Pickle Pot and warm “Germanish” Potato Salad while quaffing refreshing La Tropical craft brews. In addition, the celebration will feature DJ entertainment, exciting games and prizes and the opportunity to enter a giveaway for a chance to win five (5) prizes including brunch and dinner for two at Ocean Social, an overnight stay in Eden Roc’s junior suite, an autographed InterMiami CF jersey, and a table for four at Cervecería La Tropical.

The famed distillery has planted more than 270,000 trees in Kentucky and this year will be running a virtual contest now until September 30 to select five (5) cities to plant trees in; the top five vote getters will win. Nucleus, a venture studio for psychedelics wholly owned by Iter Investments, will present its monthly Psychedelic Series at Soho Beach House Miami on Thursday, July 20, at 7 p.m. Moderated by psychedelics expert Dustin Robinson, Esq. CPA., the panel will feature top CEOs in the psychedelics industry including PsyBio Therapeutics CEO Evan Levine and Braxia Scientific CEO Dr. Roger McIntyre. The topic of the panel will focus on the next wave of psychedelic medicine.

Levine is an assertive and insightful leader encompassing over three decades of in-depth expertise in biotechnology and drug development, executive supervision, strategic ventures, asset management and the institutional investment business. He is currently chairman and CEO of PsyBio Therapeutics, a neuropsychiatry drug development company pioneering the next generation of psychoactive compounds. The company has a platform technology that can produce biosynthetically generated psychoactive drugs utilizing genetically modified bacteria. Levine was responsible for co-founding the company, acquiring key platform technology, funding an institutional round led by US venerated healthcare funds, and taking the company public on the Toronto Venture Exchange.

Dr. McIntyre is the chairman and CEO of Braxia Scientific, a medical research and telemedicine company with clinics that provide innovative ketamine treatments for persons with depression and related disorders. Dr. McIntyre is the world’s top-ranked depression researcher and has almost 25 years of providing care and conducting research, along with drug discovery and development, for persons with depression and related disorders. He is currently also a professor of psychiatry and pharmacology at the University of Toronto and Head of the Mood Disorders Psychopharmacology Unit at the University Health Network in Toronto, Canada. Under his leadership, Braxia also launched its U.S.-based end-to-end telemedicine platform KetaMD, which utilizes leading technology to provide access to safe, affordable, and potentially life-changing at-home ketamine treatments for people living with depression and related mental health conditions. Robinson is Founding Partner of Mr. Cannabis Law – a full service law firm focused on the cannabis and psychedelic industries; Co-Founder of Mr. Psychedelic Law – a non-profit focused on psychedelic legal reform; Managing Principal of Iter Investments – a venture capital firm deploying capital across the psychedelic ecosystem; and Co-Founder of Nucleus – a platform with various tools to help guide individuals on their mental health journey.

Launched in June 2021 by Robinson and visionary leader Sam Baum, the Psychedelic Series features experts in the psychedelics space including CEOs, doctors, lawyers and celebrities. Once in the Magic Book Shop though, things take an unexpected turn as the stories in her books magically start to jump to life all around her! Now, all of the pages to Jojo’s books are blank and the characters from her books are running wild in real life!

It’s up to Jojo to retell the stories to get her old friends to go back on the page. While Jojo works to get his favorite characters from her books to go back on to the pages they belong in, she remembers why she loves to read some much in the first place; It’s really FUN! Along the way Jojo starts to realize that all of his books have characters in them who are different, and that being different is what makes them special.

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) will be kicking off the 30th annual Hospitality Open Tournament (H.O.T) Challenge Golf Tournament to raise funds for the Black Hospitality Initiative (BHI).

Not interested in tournament play, but want to improve your game? We are now offering a 2-hour golf clinic on April 28th with acclaimed instructors from the Jim McLean Golf School. In addition to the world-class instruction, you will be able join all the other golfers for an amazing buffet luncheon and open bar, partner expo with giveaways, a silent auction, and the awards ceremony.

Thirty years ago, Ocean Drive magazine was born – which redefined a media genre and ignited the resurrection of South Beach as the global hot spot we know today. Having launched in 1993, the glossy made its grand entrance onto the scene during the roaring ‘90s of Miami nightlife and subsequently became the “Bible of South Beach,” encapsulating the hottest, trendiest who’s who and what’s what of South Beach, both in the magazine and at its iconic events.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Ocean Drive, and in true Miami style, the publication will be hosting a celebratory bash at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel on Thursday, March 23rd, from 8:00PM-11:00PM. Cover stars Tyson Beckford and Jasmine Sanders, along with legends from Miami nightlife, will come together for a special VIP event that pays homage to all of the movers and shakers of the ‘90s who helped shape the city’s evolution. Syncing with the thrilling energy of Miami Music Week, attendees can look forward to live DJ sets and a curated performance line-up starring DJ Irie, Victor Calderone, Miami drag legend, Adora, and Haitian-born rap sensation and multi-instrumentalist, Wyclef Jean.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this December, Loews Miami Beach Hotel has long been recognized as the catalyst that made the South Beach hotel scene what it is today. Over the years, the oceanfront resort and Ocean Drive have collaborated on standout events, making it the ideal location for the magazine’s 30th anniversary festivities.

The National Cycling League (NCL) is the first-ever majority minority owned professional cycling league. Co-Founded by serial entrepreneur Paris Wallace, the NCL’s mission is to re-image cycling and turn it into a world-class spectator sport; one that is filled with nonstop action, is easy to watch, and has mixed-gender teams where men and women contribute equally to the scoreboard. The NCL is excited to announce its inaugural race of the 2023 NCL Cup taking place April 8th on iconic Ocean Drive at 11th street in Miami Beach. The NCL Cup is a series of 4 criterium races on the most iconic streets of the most classical cities in the country. Miami Beach is first, followed by Atlanta, Denver, and Washington D.C. where teams will compete for a series prize purse of over $1 million.

The world-class signature event, the Hyundai Air & Sea Show®, the Greatest Show Above the Earth® returns to Miami Beach on Memorial Day Weekend (May 27, 2023 and May 28, 2023.

The Hyundai Air & Sea Show® showcases the men, women, technology, and equipment from all five branches of the United States Military as well as local police, firefighters, and their first responder agencies. Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami Beach will once again host Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s 12th Annual “Claws for Kids” presented by the Carmen Rebozo Foundation in memory of Judy Kramer. The fundraising lunch will take place on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, kicking off with a cocktail reception at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at noon. Guests will enjoy delicious stone crabs and other signature menu items without the wait. Mother and daughter duo, Lisa Mendelson and Lindsey Mendelson Pearson are graciously co-chairing this year’s event once again. Olga Guilarte is the Special Event Chair. “Claws for Kids” is one of the last chances to enjoy stone crabs before stone crab season ends.

“Claws for Kids” is held in memory of Judy Kramer, a longtime Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Board member, who helped create the event and chaired it since its inception until her passing in February 2021.

Proceeds will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s many positive programs and services at its six Clubs and sites combined, including after school programs, homework assistance, computer training, social skills, dance, arts & crafts, professional mentoring, and summer and athletic programs.

“It’s an honor to partner with the iconic Joe’s Stone Crabs to host our 12th Annual ‘Claws for Kids’ lunch and awards ceremony,” said Alex Rodriguez-Roig, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade. “This event continues to grow each year and we’re excited to see both longtime supporters as well as new faces enjoying Joe’s stone crabs to raise funds to benefit the Club’s many positive programs.”

South Florida Symphony Orchestra will present a bold and daring evening of Dvořák Masterworks, featuring his love letter to America, Symphony No. 9 in E minor: “From the New World” as well as Cello Concerto in B minor, the greatest of all cello concertos, performed by Grammy Award-winning artist Zuill Bailey – who also appeared during the Symphony’s inaugural concert 25 years ago. Led by Music Director Sebrina María Alfonso, the concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, at New World Center in Miami Beach. Tickets are on sale, now.

Maestra Alfonso and Zuill Bailey have known each other since their days at Peabody Conservatory. Over the years, he has become a frequent SFSO guest artist and a favorite among audiences. He is widely considered one of the premier cellists in the world and is an internationally renowned soloist, artistic director, and teacher. His illustrious recording career consists of over 20 titles. His CD, Dvořák Cello Concerto is listed in Penguin’s Guide as one of the Top 1000 Classical Recordings of All Time. He also won a GRAMMY for Best Solo Performance for his live recording of Tales of Hemingway by composer Michael Daugherty. A consummate concerto soloist, Bailey has been featured with symphony orchestras worldwide, including Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto, Israel, Cape Town, Russia, Hong Kong, Jordan, Mexico, South America, the United Kingdom, and Austria. He has collaborated with such conductors as Itzhak Perlman, Alan Gilbert, Andrew Litton, Neeme Jarvi, Giancarlo Guerrero, James DePriest, and Jun Markl, to name a few. Classical Net calls Bailey “easily one of the finest cellists alive today,” and states that he “commands a simply lovely tone, passionate and full of vigor,” in a review of his Dvořák Cello Concerto recording.

In 1892, Antonín Dvořák was recruited to be the director for the National Conservatory of Music in New York City, which opened in 1888 to make music education available to talented students from every background, including marginalized communities and fostering the creation of American national music. In his quest to bring the sounds of America into European classical music, his most famous work was born, the four-movement Symphony No. 9 in E Minor, better known as “New World Symphony.” In the lead-up to its 1893 premiere by the New York Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall, Dvořák commented that he thought the core of an American sound could be found in Native American communities and African American spirituals, which you can hear in the composition. Upon its premiere, a reporter for the New York Herald observed that the new symphony was “a noble composition…of heroic proportions.”

Cello Concerto in B minor, the most widely regarded and also the last solo concerto by Antonín Dvořák, will be performed by Zuill Bailey. Written in 1894 for Dvořák’s friend, the cellist Hanuš Wihan, it premiered in London in 1896 by the English cellist Leo Stern. Dvořák wrote the concerto while in New York City for his third term as the director of the National Conservatory. After hearing composer Victor Herbert’s Cello Concerto No. 2 in E minor, Op. 30, Dvořák was inspired to complete a cello concerto of his own. Herbert had been principal cellist in the New York Philharmonic that premiered Dvořák’s “New World Symphony” in 1893.

The Collins Park Neighborhood Association and the Global Arts Project present the Spam Allstars in Collins Park at 5 PM Sunday Feb 26 in the first free Artscape concert of 2023. The Allstars have been at it for 20+ years.  The band has a core group of musicians who have been performing an average of 150 shows per year, across the US and some very special trips to Europe, Canada, South America and South Africa.  They held a weekly residency at the legendary Little Havana club Hoy Como Ayer every Thursday for 15 years which attracted everyone from Good Morning America to the NY Times, a variety of celebrity appearances, and numerous musical special guests sitting in. As time has passed the songs have evolved, recordings have been made, and the sound took on a different form which is a distinct blend of Latin, funk, and electronic music.  This electronic descarga is a reflection of the musicians and their cultures, training, and musical influences.

Nucleus, a venture studio for psychedelics wholly owned by Iter Investments, will present its monthly Psychedelic Series at Soho Beach House Miami on Thursday, February 9 at 7 p.m. Moderated by psychedelics expert Dustin Robinson, Esq. CPA, panelists include Stanley Cup champion and Wesana CEO Daniel Carcillo and Managing Partner at Ambria Capital and Phyto Partners Cody Shandraw. The topic of the panel is, “Real Estate for Psychedelics – the Healing REIT.”

Carcillo and Shandraw are founders of Healing REIT, alongside CEO Ty Zakovich. Healing REIT invests in real estate designed for innovative medicine. The current healthcare infrastructure does not support the already, and soon-to-be approved, FDA-novel therapies like ketamine, MDMA and psilocybin-assisted therapy. As a real estate investment trust that connects investors to clinics looking to adopt psychedelic therapies and other novel treatment options, Healing REIT is creating a win-win situation for those looking to invest in this budding industry and clinicians looking to provide the best treatment possible to their patients.

Launched in June 2021 by Robinson and visionary leader Sam Baum, the Psychedelic Series has seen great success, hosting over 25 panels with over 75 notable speakers and over 1,500 people in attendance. The Psychedelic Series features experts in the psychedelics space including CEOs, doctors, lawyers and celebrities. The panel started at Soho Beach House Miami and expanded to locations throughout the country including New York, Chicago and California, as well as internationally in London and Amsterdam. Past panelists include MAPS Founder Rick Doblin, NBA champion Lamar Odom, Psilera Bioscience CEO Chris Witowski, PhD, Silo Wellness CEO Douglas K. Gordon, and others.

Robinson is Founding Partner of Mr. Cannabis Law – a full service law firm focused on the cannabis and psychedelic industries; Co-Founder of Mr. Psychedelic Law – a non-profit focused on psychedelic legal reform; Managing Principal of Iter Investments – a venture capital firm deploying capital across the psychedelic ecosystem; and Co-Founder of Nucleus – a platform with various tools to help guide individuals on their mental health journey.

Carcillo founded Wesana Health after his own personal experience with psychedelics in healing brain injuries he obtained as a hockey player. He’s a two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Chicago Blackhawks, however Carcillo was forced into early retirement when he was just 30 after suffering from post-concussion syndrome. His recovery, due in large part to psychedelics, led him to found Wesana Health. Wesana Health is an emerging life sciences company championing the development and delivery of therapies, including psychedelics, to treat traumatic brain injury (TBI) and related conditions. Through extensive clinical research and academic partnerships, the company is developing evidence-based formulations and protocols that empower patients to overcome neurological, psychological and mental health ailments caused by trauma.

Shandraw has been a serial entrepreneur from an early age, striving to be a proven producer of profit in all of his ventures. Shandraw serves as a Managing Partner at Ambria Capital and Phyto Partners. He manages market assessment projects and due diligence, as well as client relationships. He oversees one of the most active due diligence programs in the psychedelics industry, focused on early-stage companies and non-traditional venture opportunities. Shandraw is passionate about advocating for psychedelic-assisted therapies and advancing their place in the mental healthcare landscape. To date, he and his team have backed more than 50 companies and supported many in growth to scale. He was recently recognized and honored as the 2021 Investor of the Year at the first annual Microdose Awards.
