FLITE Center’s “Sip, Savor and Screening” benefit presented by Seminole Casino Coconut Creek will take place on Tuesday, August 20, from 6 – 9 p.m., at Movies of Delray (7421 W Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach). This special evening, part of Boca Chamber Festival Days (BCFD), will include a complimentary libation, gourmet light bites, a raffle and a ticket to view the 2024 drama, Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot, an uplifting true story about how a small community banded together to transform the lives of its most vulnerable youth. All proceeds will go toward FLITE Center programs and services, which provide young adults with resources and support to help them transition to independent living. FLITE Center is a one-stop resource center offering all supportive services to youth aging out of foster care, chronically homeless youth, human trafficking survivors, and LGBTQ+ youth.

Featured on Oprah, the powerful Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot follows a rural Texas church community’s life-changing decision for 22 families to adopt 77 vulnerable children from the foster care system, helping among other things to shield them from the horrors of human trafficking. Led by Reverend Martin and his wife Donna, this act of boundless compassion ignited a movement, proving with passion and commitment, that the battle for America’s most vulnerable can be won.

With comprehensive, seamless support, FLITE Center guides nearly 2,000 youth annually through life’s maze. FLITE connects them to employment, education, health services, counseling, and safe, affordable housing. Established in Broward County, FLITE Center has been serving the West Palm Beach community since 2021. In 2022, it expanded its services by adding a 1,500-square-foot drop-in center located in the historic northwest sector of downtown – in an area youth can easily reach. More recently, new property space began providing a safe, secure and reliable immediate housing emergency landing space lovingly called Falcon Ridge for human trafficking survivor youth and their families.

FLITE Center’s West Palm Beach’s Anti-Human Trafficking programming is supported through a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant through the Office of the Attorney General of Florida and through a U.S. Department of Justice Office of Victims of Crime Housing Assistance Grant, helping at-risk and sex-trafficked children and young adults between the ages of 10 – 24 with trauma informed care, guidance and support.

Celebrating 47 years, Boca Chamber Festival Days is the chamber’s outreach to the non-profit community. Non-profit chamber members join forces with for-profit chamber members to hold events during the month of August with a primary objective of enhancing awareness and gathering funds for philanthropic endeavors. The Boca Chamber is proud to offer a diverse range of activities that showcase the vibrant essence of Boca Raton, spanning from intimate gatherings to larger-scale celebrations.

FLITE Center’s “Sip, Savor and Screening” is presented by Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and sponsored by Premier Aircraft, Heidi Schaeffer, M.D. Charitable Trust, Boss Events SoFlo, Quest Workspaces, Florida Atlantic University and Excel Construction.

Advance general admission tickets start at $25; the day of showing tickets will be $40. Sponsorships starting at $500 each are also available. To purchase, visit https://FLITECenter.org/SipSavorScreening.

The Moon will magically be transformed into a Swift-themed pop-up, complete with photo backdrops, music, giveaways, special Swift-inspired cocktails, and a chance to win four VIP suite tickets to see Taylor Swift’s “The Eras” Tour concert in Miami at the Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024.
“One thing that we have all observed over the last year or so in this country is that Taylor Swift has brought a lot of joy to a lot of people. No matter if you’re a Taylor Swift fan or not, the fact that she brings joy to people certainly can’t be denied.” Joe Zarzaur, owner, and Board-Certified Civil Trial Lawyer at Zarzaur Law, P.A. “We thought, as a firm, that since we deal with people’s heartache and misery and the absence of joy in a lot of situations and we argue for our clients that may have been robbed of those things, we should also celebrate joyful things. So as part of that, we decided to help share in the joy and give away Taylor Swift tickets.”

Visit zarzaurswiftgiveaway.com for complete contest rules, event details, and more information.

It will certainly not be a “Cruel Summer” for the event attendees and winners of these exclusive VIP suite tickets to see Taylor Swift’s “The Eras” Tour concert in Miami! Save the date and attend the “Swiftie Soiree” at The Moon on August 1 in Wynnwood.

Finally Get Their Own Exhibit

ArtServe’s “Ready-Made” Exhibit Opens Friday, July 19 With Free Reception

Crafters, wine bottle label designers, ceramics enthusiasts, wig-makers, jewelry designers, tattoo artists and other talented creative entrepreneurs who seldom get the chance to exhibit their work will be showcased at ArtServe’s upcoming exhibit “Ready-Made: Celebrating Business, Art and Community” that runs from Friday, July 19 through Friday, Sept. 6, 2024.

Ready-Made opens with a free, public reception at ArtServe from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 19.

To RSVP for the free reception, click here: https://buytickets.at/artserveinc/1299219

Made possible by a grant from The Community Foundation of Broward, the exhibit itself is also free to attend.

ArtServe is located at 1350 E. Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“After seeing Ready-Made, your everyday experiences will come with a fresh perspective on the knowledge that an artist has created virtually everything with which we interact each day,” ArtServe CEO Jason Hughes explained. “For example, even a trip to the grocery store entails visual artwork on so many levels—the colorful displays, the food packaging, the coupons and even the fresh sushi at the seafood counter have one thing in common—they were all created by artists!”

ArtServe opened participation in Ready-Made to local artists of all genres—with one caveat: Exhibited artwork must not be perishable (which means the fresh pastries and sushi displays must remain in their respective stores!).

Ready-Made opens alongside a national launch of “Handwork: Celebrating American Craft 2026,” a massive Semiquincentennial initiative to showcase the importance of the handmade, both throughout American history and contemporary life.

Miami, FL – The second South Florida edition of the Festival of Colors (festivalofcolorsfl.com) is coming to central Miami at Peacock Park in Coconut Grove on Saturday, April 13.

After an inaugural colorful 2023 event attended by hundreds in Ft, Lauderdale, this marks the second local edition of the Festival of Colors USA. It’s been beloved by conscious partiers throughout the western US for nearly two decades (festivalofcolorsusa.com), and billed as “the world’s happiest transformational festival.”

Inspired by the Indian festival of Holi, the Festival of Colors will take place on Saturday, April 13 from 11 am to 4 pm, at Peacock Park, 2820 MacFarlane Rd., Coconut Grove, Miami, 33133.

The day promises to be a vibrant celebration of love, unity, and joy, and sober, uplifting fun, with plenty of cruelty-free cuisine, arts and crafts, mantra music, HOURLY COLOR THROWS — and free entry for kids under 12!

The Festival of Colors, also known as Holi, is a Hindu festival that has been celebrated in India and other parts of the world for centuries. It’s a time when people come together to celebrate the arrival of spring and the victory of good over evil. During the festival, participants throw colorful powder at each other, dance to live music, and enjoy delicious food.

This year’s Festival of Colors in Florida promises to be an unforgettable experience for all attendees. In addition to the colorful powder throwing and live music, there will also be yoga, meditation, and dance workshops throughout the day. There will also be plenty of food vendors, serving up delicious vegetarian and vegan options.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Festival of Colors to South Florida for the first time this year,” said festival organizer, Vasanti Dasi. “We want to create a space where people can come together, have fun, and celebrate the beauty of diversity and unity. This festival is a celebration of life, love, and happiness.”

Tickets for the Festival of Colors are available for purchase on the festival’s website, festivalofcolorsfl.com. Early bird tickets are on sale now, so make sure to grab yours before they sell out. Again, kids under 12 enter free, and there’s a special discount for students and veterans.

Use promo code BHAKTI at checkout to get presale entry for just $5 (with a bag of three colors) or $10 (with a bag of three colors and a vegetarian or vegan meal). Students and veterans can use the code to get presale entry with a bag of colors for $5.

Press passes are available by contacting press officer Radha dasi at radha@halftimeyoga.com, or calling 786-361-6417.

“TRIBUTES” Starring Joe Posa as Joan Rivers and Featuring Seth Sikes 1/13/24

“TRIBUTES” Starring Joe Posa as Joan Rivers and Featuring Seth Sikes
Saturday, 01/13/2024-, 08:00 pm-10:00 pm
Sunshine Cathedral Center for the Performing Arts
1480 SW 9th Avenue,
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33315
Website
Cost: $35; $65 VIP ticket includes premium seating and a meet and greet photo opportunity with both performers

Back by popular demand, Joe Posa and Seth Sikes will reunite for a performance of “TRIBUTES,” a stunning homage to iconic female legends, on Saturday, January 13, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., at Sunshine Cathedral Center for the Performing Arts (1480 SW 9th Avenue). Tickets for this captivating (18+) show are on sale, now.

This showcase, produced by the accomplished duo, unites two worlds of performance art – female impersonation and live song. Joe Posa will impersonate Joan Rivers, Barbra Streisand, and Liza Minnelli while Seth Sikes will enchant audiences with his soulful voice, singing nostalgic melodies made famous by Judy Garland, Bernadette Peters, and other artists. The cleverly choreographed show includes duets with Seth Sikes and Joe Posa as Barbra and Liza.

Can we talk?! Joe Posa has made a name for himself in show business, starting his illustrious career in musical theater as a featured performer/dancer in the international touring company of West Side Story plus other musicals including Anything Goes, Grease, A Chorus Line and South Pacific. In 1993, he then found his wings as a sought-after female celebrity impersonator. As a cast member in several productions of “An Evening at La Cage,” he has performed as Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Gloria Estefan and Michael Jackson. Posa was also Susan Lucci’s Erica Kane character double on ABC’s All My Children, as well as Tina Fey’s Liz Lemon character double on NBC’s 30 Rock. For more than 30 years, Posa has produced and starred in multiple shows in New York City, London, Provincetown, Puerta Vallarta, Boston, Palm Springs and other cities. His solo productions include “Guys as Dolls,” “An Evening at the Birdcage,” “Joe Posa Poses,” and “The Bitch is Back!” Also, he has performed at numerous red carpet corporate functions, charity fundraisers and elegant private events. Having performed alongside Ms. Rivers on two separate occasions, Posa was lovingly called by Ms. Rivers, her “favorite Joan Rivers impersonator.”

Seth Sikes is one of New York’s most popular young nightclub performers. Hailed as “the best male singer of his generation” by Theatre Scene, Sikes has been selling out venues since his 2014 debut of “Seth Sikes Sings Judy Garland.” The show recounted how Garland inspired Sikes as a young boy in Paris, Texas, while he belted the legend’s greatest hits backed by a seven-piece band. The show won Broadway World’s Best Tribute Show award and prompted The New York Times to declare, “The performance was a hit with critics and audiences, alike.” The reviewers were equally enthusiastic toward his follow-up show, “Seth Sikes Sings Liza Minnelli.” The New York Post relayed, “It was a heartfelt concert. Sikes has a heap of fans, and his audiences are always tightly packed and brimming with enthusiasm for his booming, jazzy renditions of their favorite songs.” When the Covid pandemic prevented Sikes from performing for live audiences, he created a series of online music video parodies that went viral, viewed by hundreds of thousands. His most recent video, “Ring Them Bells,” was selected to close the globally broadcast Liza Minnelli 75th birthday tribute. Sikes also works in the theatre behind the scenes. He was associate director for The Band’s Visit and The Nance on Broadway. He directed the original musical Bunked! which won Outstanding Musical at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2010, as well as “The 7th Annual Broadway Beauty Pageant.”

Tickets for “TRIBUTES” start at $35 with an option to purchase a $25 pre-show reception ticket including beverages and light snacks. To purchase tickets, visit https://bit.ly/Tributes2024.

About Children’s Harbor

Established in 1996, Children’s Harbor is a nationally accredited non-profit agency with a mission to help strengthen families who are struggling in our community, while providing safe shelter and support to teens in foster care so that they may grow into healthy, educated and productive adults.

With the belief that children should feel safe, that family is worth fighting for and that cycles can be broken, Children’s Harbor provides a harbor of hope and healing for children who have been impacted by the trauma of child abuse. The main campus in Pembroke Pines provides a supportive family environment for teenagers in foster care and their younger siblings. The family strengthening program prevents kids from coming into foster care by providing in-home counseling and support to families who are struggling in the community. Those who have aged out of foster care are provided with housing, life skills and the wrap-around support necessary to overcome their trauma and navigate through the early stages of adulthood through independent living programs.

Brown’s Harbor is a supportive housing community that offers on-site staff, training, and wrap-around support services for young adults who have aged out of the foster care system, ages 18-23, helping to bridge the gap from dependence to independence.

OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival Fort Lauderdale’s 15th anniversary edition, internationally acclaimed as one of the largest LGBTQ+ cultural festivals in the world, will feature the erotic stylish thriller “Femme” (UK, 2023) as its Men’s Spotlight Film.

Jules is a beloved drag queen who loves to perform, where his stage persona is not just a role but a truer version of himself. After a brutal beating, Jules retreats into himself and stops performing. When he encounters his aggressor again, it happens in a gay sauna. Following an impulse, Jules becomes entangled in a risky revenge game with a profoundly closeted young man. ”Femme” doesn’t just force its characters into the revenge and erotic thriller genre but reinvents the revenge script, exploring both openly homophobic violence and internalized homophobia, and the daily tensions of queer existence. Sam H. Freeman and Ng Choon Ping have crafted a tense, stylish thriller about desire and self-loathing.

An afterparty will take place at Union Kitchen & Bar in Wilton Manors at 10 p.m.

This year’s OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival 15th anniversary edition celebrating queer culture runs through October 29 and will feature 38 internationally acclaimed features and 26 shorts including premieres and documentaries that inspire, entertain, and educate along with a variety of parties and special events taking place at various venues throughout Broward County.

On U.S. Veterans’ Administration 93rd Anniversary, ArtServe Art Exhibit
Explores Challenges of Life After Military Service

Friday, July 21 Opening Reception Coincides with VA’s 93rd Anniversary;
Monday, September 11 Closing Day Pays Tribute to First Responder Veterans

Ninety-three years ago on July 21, 1930, the creation of the U.S. Department of Veterans Administration forever changed how Americans cared for our veterans after their active service was completed.

To celebrate that commitment, ArtServe is opening a new exhibit coinciding with the Veterans Administration’s 93rd anniversary called “Veterans: A Family Perspective.”

The exhibit officially opens with a free, public reception on Friday, July 21, 2023 at ArtServe from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ArtServe is located at 1350 E. Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.

It concludes on Monday, September 11 in tribute to first responders and other veterans of America’s worst terrorist attack.

Artist participation in the “Veterans” exhibit is open to all, including veterans, active-duty service persons and military family members, whose artwork depicting the challenges of life after military service will be showcased.

“As the fanfare of July 4 sunsets each year, supporting our veterans remains a substantial daily need,” ArtServe Executive Director Jason Hughes explained, noting that this imperative was underscored by the June 9, 2023 presidential executive order on “Advancing Economic Security for Military and Veteran Spouses, Military Caregivers, and Survivors.” “So much of the heartache and difficulty of reintegrating veterans into civilian life is borne by their loved ones. The untold story of these families’ courage will be on display at ArtServe.”

Sponsored by Florida Power & Light, Primo Liquors, United Way of Broward County’s Mission United, OutClique magazine and the USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD 28) Commissioning & Support Committee, “Veterans: A Family Perspective” opens to the public on Friday, July 14.

Solo exhibits by Marilyn Johansen and Tony Khawam will also be on display.

ArtServe hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Thanks to a grant from Broward Cultural Division and Culture Builds Florida, admission to both the July 21 reception and the ongoing exhibit are free.

Thirty years ago, Ocean Drive magazine was born – which redefined a media genre and ignited the resurrection of South Beach as the global hot spot we know today. Having launched in 1993, the glossy made its grand entrance onto the scene during the roaring ‘90s of Miami nightlife and subsequently became the “Bible of South Beach,” encapsulating the hottest, trendiest who’s who and what’s what of South Beach, both in the magazine and at its iconic events.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Ocean Drive, and in true Miami style, the publication will be hosting a celebratory bash at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel on Thursday, March 23rd, from 8:00PM-11:00PM. Cover stars Tyson Beckford and Jasmine Sanders, along with legends from Miami nightlife, will come together for a special VIP event that pays homage to all of the movers and shakers of the ‘90s who helped shape the city’s evolution. Syncing with the thrilling energy of Miami Music Week, attendees can look forward to live DJ sets and a curated performance line-up starring DJ Irie, Victor Calderone, Miami drag legend, Adora, and Haitian-born rap sensation and multi-instrumentalist, Wyclef Jean.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this December, Loews Miami Beach Hotel has long been recognized as the catalyst that made the South Beach hotel scene what it is today. Over the years, the oceanfront resort and Ocean Drive have collaborated on standout events, making it the ideal location for the magazine’s 30th anniversary festivities.

While toasting to the past and welcoming the present, Ocean Drive acknowledges some of Miami Beach’s pioneers who helped build the foundation of our Magic City: Alan Roth, Ingrid Casares, Chris Paciello, Nicola Siervo, Rony Seikaly, Marita Stavrou, Tommy Pooch, Tara Solomon, Bill Spector, Conrad Gomez, Navin Chatani, and Esteban Cortazar.

This event is invite-only.

Free Exhibit Runs From Fri., April 14 to Fri., June 16, 2023; Public Opening Reception April 21

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (March 14, 2023) – In an art exhibit entitled “Wellness Exhibition: Fostering Mental and Emotional Health—An Artist’s Journey Through Healing” that runs from Fri., April 14 to Fri., June 16, 2023, ArtServe will explore how artists apply various genres and mediums to convey different journeys of well-being, self-love and healing through their art.

A free, public opening reception is planned from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m on Friday, April 21. To register, click here. Admission is free to both the exhibit and reception.

ArtServe is located at 1350 E. Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

ArtServe curated the “Wellness” exhibit from local artists’ submissions. Entries also were welcomed from both adults and students in the eighth grade through college.

“It’s long been known in medical circles that art is a highly effective form of therapy that encourages non-verbal communication and healing when people are often unable to speak for whatever the reason,” ArtServe executive director Jason Hughes said. “Exploring self-expression through the outlet of various artforms can create a safe space that helps many embrace and sort through their own personal difficulties.”

According to the American Art Therapy Association, there are over 5,000 art therapists practicing nationwide who provide services for individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative processes, applied psychological theory and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship.

A solo exhibit entitled “Story of a Woman’s Journey” produced by Deborah Strelkow will run concurrently to the “Wellness” exhibit at ArtServe.

ArtServe inspires, supports and advances its diverse members, artists and community by promoting artistic development, education and prosperity through the exploration and presentation of the visual and performing arts.

Tributes Starring Joe Posa as Joan Rivers and Featuring Seth Sikes 1/14/23

TRIBUTES Starring Joe Posa as Joan Rivers and Featuring Seth Sikes
Saturday, 01/14/2023-, 08:00 pm-
Sunshine Cathedral Center for the Performing Arts
1480 SW 9th Avenue,
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33315
Website
Cost: $35; $65 VIP ticket includes premium seating and a meet and greet photo opportunity with both performers

The stars will align when Joe Posa and Seth Sikes unite to perform for one night only in “TRIBUTES,” a loving homage to female leading legends, on Saturday, January 14, at 8 p.m., at the Sunshine Cathedral Center for the Performing Arts (1480 SW 9th Avenue). Tickets for this dynamic duo show are on sale, now.

This new tribute show, produced by the leading men, themselves, will bring two worlds of performance art together: female impersonation and live song. Joe Posa will impersonate Joan Rivers, Barbra Streisand and Liza Minnelli while Seth Sikes will delight audiences with his soulful voice singing of nostalgic tunes made famous by Judy Garland, Bernadette Peters and others.

Joe Posa has made a name for himself in show business, starting his career in musical theater as a performer/dancer featured in the international touring company of West Side Story plus other musicals including Anything Goes, Grease, A Chorus Line and South Pacific. In 1993 (soon to be celebrating his 30th anniversary), he then found his wings as a sought-after female celebrity impersonator. Having performed alongside Ms. Rivers on two separate occasions, Posa was lovingly called by Ms. Rivers, her “favorite Joan Rivers Impersonator.” As a cast member in several productions of “An Evening at La Cage,” he has performed as Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Gloria Estefan and Michael Jackson. Posa was also Susan Lucci’s Erica Kane character double on ABC’s “All My Children,” as well as Tina Fey’s Liz Lemon character double on NBC’s “30 Rock.” Posa has produced and starred in multiple shows in Provincetown, Puerta Vallarta, Boston, Palm Springs, New York City, London and other cities for nearly 20 years. His productions include, “Guys as Dolls,” “An Evening at the Birdcage,” “Joe Posa Poses,” and “The Bitch is Back!” Also, he has performed at numerous red carpet corporate functions, charity fundraisers and elegant private events.

He was associate director for “The Band’s Visit” and “The Nance” on Broadway. He directed the original musical “Bunked!” which won Outstanding Musical at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2010, as well as “The 7th Annual Broadway Beauty Pageant.

Tickets for “TRIBUTES” start at $35 with a $65 VIP ticket including premium seating and a meet and greet photo opportunity with both performers. To purchase tickets, visit bit.ly/TributesbyPosaandSikes.

History Fort Lauderdale, celebrating its 60th year of stewardship of our community’s past, has announced Ted Drum and the Drum, Clark and Cox families as honorees for its 26th annual History Makers fundraiser set for Thursday, November 10, from 6 – 8 p.m. This yearly special event commends individuals and companies who have made an impact on the growth of the City of Fort Lauderdale. Tickets are on sale, now.

For over 70 years, Fort Lauderdale native Ted Drum and his extended family have made significant contributions to the development of the City of Fort Lauderdale through political leadership and prosperous marine, hospitality, and real estate ventures.

Ted Drum was born in Fort Lauderdale in 1938, and Bob Cox arrived in 1946 aboard an 85-foot deep-draft motorsailer. Looking for dockage that would accommodate the boat led him to a naval station on the Intracoastal near 17th Street. A series of fortuitous events, perseverance and engineering expertise on Bob’s part led to his establishment of what would become the Lauderdale Marina.

The Drum and Cox families merged in the early ‘60s when Ted met and married Carol Clark, Bob Cox’s daughter. Soon thereafter, Ted left for Vietnam and returned home seven years later as a decorated combat company commander and captain. The family grew the marina property to include homes for Drum Realty, which Ted’s father Harlan established in 1951, and the 15th Street Fisheries restaurant, established with Carol’s brothers John and Macdonald Clark. One might thing that Bob Cox would have had enough to occupy his time during these years with the marina and other business enterprises. However, seeing a need for leadership in Fort Lauderdale he found time to serve on the city commission and as mayor of Fort Lauderdale from 1986 until 1991.

During this time, Ted and Carol, while raising two children, grew Drum Realty and established a reputation for themselves, and their business, for integrity and fair dealing. Their children, Lorrie Drum Roschman and Kelly Drum continue that reputation as current owners of the family businesses. While Carol sadly passed away in 2011, Ted has remained active in real estate in Fort Lauderdale and Drum Realty continues, today, as does Lauderdale Marina and 15th Street Fisheries, which operate under the umbrella of The Shipyard. These enterprises remain family businesses with Ted’s son, Kelly, as president of the Shipyard and of 15th Street Fisheries and Scott Clark, Bob Cox’s grandson, serving as president of Lauderdale Marina. Currently, eight other Drum, Clark, and Cox family members are involved at The Shipyard. The Drum family expanded in 2015, when Ted married Kathy Molinet. Since then, Ted and Kathy, while remaining busy in their careers, carve out ample time to enjoy their shared passion of boating and travel.

Previous History Maker honorees have included Denison Yachting, the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, the Forman Family, “Alligator Ron” Bergeron, City Commissioner Steven Glassman, developer Dev Motwani, H. Wayne Huizenga, Chris Evert and Jimmy Evert, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Winterfest and Susan and Buddy Lochrie.

History Fort Lauderdale’s 26th annual History Makers is sponsored by 15th Street Fisheries, Lauderdale Marina, Marine Industries Association of South Florida, Lank Oil, Water Taxi of Fort Lauderdale, Hudson Family Foundation, Boston Whaler, and Roschman Enterprises (Platinum sponsors), Drum Realty, Juliet Clark, Denison Family & Denison Yachting, Fratarcangeli Wealth Management, Marrinson Group, Moss & Associates and Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits (Visionary sponsors) and ASTA Parking, Cleveland Clinic, Fish’s Wholesale, Gray Robinson, Kelley Law Firm, Lago Mar, Walt McCrory, The Molinet Family, Nova Southeastern University, Nor-Tech, Pool Doc, Safe Harbor Lauderdale Marine Center, Soflo Boats, Stiles Corporation, Travel Host Fort Lauderdale, Tripp Scott, Stephanie Toothaker and USB (Trailblazer sponsors).
