After a successful debut in 2020, Kuba Cabana, a lively dining concept where “Old World Cuba Meets Modern Miami,” is announcing its 2022 “Cocktails & Cabaret” lineup. Located in the vibrant CityPlace Doral, the series of exhilarating evenings will take place on the last Thursday of every month for guests aged 21 and older.

The “Classic Night Out” dinner show, hosted by Miss Noel Leon and singer/songwriter Sunni Stephens,
features a Las Vegas Style Cabaret music revue reminiscent of Old Hollywood. Burlesque, drag, cirque, and dance performers from around the globe perform a variety of songs ranging from the Golden Age of Hollywood to the chart-topping hits of today with a seven-piece band starring Jonathan Cahm and a DJ.

Upon arrival guests will receive a signature welcome cocktail followed by a prix fixe menu. Guests are invited to stay after the show to for a meet and greet with the Cocktail & Cabaret cast.

An energetic, culinary experience-based venue serving modern Latin-inspired cuisine, Kuba Cabana features unmistakable Cuban and Caribbean flair. This dining concept stems from the beautiful traditions of Latin and Caribbean music, cuisine and culture. Vibrant décor ranges from neon signs and tropical foliage to walls donned with Cuban-inspired art by local artists.

Foodies, get ready! Gulfstream Park Village, South Florida’s premier entertainment, dining and restaurant destination located on the border of Broward and Miami-Dade Counties, will be the site of the fun-filled Hallandale Beach Food & Groove: A Wine, Food and Art Experience on Saturday, February 26, from 7–11 p.m. as part of the 21st annual Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (SOBEWFF®).

Gulfstream Park and its iconic Pegasus statue will serve as the venue for the event. Guests are invited to come dressed in all-white ensembles and be prepared to celebrate in high SOBEWFF® style.

The Festival’s Hallandale Beach Event Series is a part of the Hallandale Beach Community Redevelopment Agency’s (HBCRA) strategic plan to promote economic development by branding the city as a destination for food, arts and entertainment, while also attracting international exposure to local participating restaurants. This is the third year in a row that the HBCRA is partnering with SOBEWFF® to host the Hallandale Beach Event Series.

This exciting evening of outdoor fun, wine, food, art, live music, and entertainment will be hosted by MasterChef finalist and TikTok sensation Nick DiGiovanni. Guests can enjoy the sights while sipping refreshing libations from the Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits portfolio.

The event will feature a variety of international cuisines. Gulfstream Park Village’s participating restaurants include Yard House, Ten Palms and Belly Fish. Other participating restaurants include Moises Bakery, Screaming Carrots, Dr. Limon Hallandale, CAO Bakery & Café, Nana’s Food for You, Il Mercato Café Restaurant, Dunn’s River Island Café, Ceviche Avenue, Chef Irie, See Thai & Japanese Cuisine, Nana’s SapiBon Haitian Restaurant, D’s Delights, El Tamarindo Coal Fired Pizza, Chapultepec Mexican Restaurant, The Krazy Vegan, La Estancia Argentina, Matteo’s Trattoria, Don Lolo’s, Wapo Tacos, El Tayta, Urban Thai & Sushi, Mable’s Island Kitchen, and Chef Nick DiGiovanni.

All net proceeds from the Festival benefit the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management students at Florida International University. Each year, over 1,200 student volunteers help organize all aspects of the event, including planning, logistics, and overall execution.

Tri-Rail’s Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Rail Fun Day will return to the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport Station at Dania Beach on Saturday, February 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees of the 12th annual outdoor free family fun day will enjoy live entertainment, arts and crafts, interactive games, cookie decorating, photos with Tri-Rail’s mascot Conductor George Green and popular costume characters, face painting, giveaways, food trucks and the “South Florida’s Kids Got Talent” singing competition.

Trump International Beach Resort Miami invites everyone to dig their toes in the sand with cocktail in hand at its New Year’s Eve Beachside Bash at Gili’s Beach Club. The night will be complete with a DJ, light bites, a festive buffet and drink specials. Children’s activities will include a s’mores station, as well as face-painting and balloon animals.

The New Year’s Eve menu includes light options such as a hummus bar with marinated olives, crispy chickpeas and feta, and a salad bar with a traditional Caesar salad station. At the brink of Art Basel Miami Beach, Wayku Restaurants – the Latin fusion hotspot in the heart of Wynwood’s art district – will partner with Tomas Redrado Art (TRA) to organize a weeklong Art Basel activation, showcasing Argentine artworks on display from Nov. 28th through Dec. 5th.

Here, Matteo Gritti, Wayku’s Chef-in-residence, will design vivid dishes inspired by the works of the exhibiting artists, François Thevenet, Agustina Chalupowicz, Santiago Paredes, and Eduardo Capilla, who represent The Young Argentinian Artist (YAA), an organization championing a new generation of Argentine artists. An open bar and live entertainment are also on the menu. The highlight of the evening will be the fashion runway show that will feature the Men of Style honorees wearing the season’s top trending styles from Macy’s and Dillard’s. An afterparty will be held at Blue Martini.

History Fort Lauderdale, proud steward of our community’s past by making our heritage accessible and engaging to residents and visitors, has set the date of Saturday, October 30, at 6:30 p.m., for its 25th annual History Makers fundraiser at the Superyacht Pavilion facility on the south grounds of Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina (2301 SE 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale). The special event, taking place during this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, will honor the Denison Family (Denison Yachting), Broward County yachting industry forerunners, with a History Makers Pioneer Family Award and the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) CEO Phil Purcell will accept a Legacy Business Award for the organization’s 60+ years of industry and service at the event that commends individuals and companies who have made an impact on the growth of the City of Fort Lauderdale.

Denison Yachting (formerly Broward Marine) and its workforce were largely responsible for much of the marine industry that developed over the course of their 50 years of yacht construction that started on the south fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale. In 1948, on their honeymoon, Frank and Gertrude Denison decided to buy a boat yard on the New River and shortly, thereafter, became the largest employer in Broward County, as well as the largest defense contractor in Florida. The contracts they secured for the construction of US Navy minesweepers during this time period led to the construction of large motor yachts. The Denison’s yachting business, launched in the early 1950s with the construction of the largest yacht built in the US, post WWII, the ALISA V, eventually led them to become most prolific large yacht builder in the world in 1993. The first of only two yacht builders in the US to have received this recognition.

The Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF), now celebrating its 60th anniversary, is the largest marine trade organization in the Southeast United States. It is dedicated to promoting, protecting, and growing the 111,000 middle class jobs in Broward County and 142,000 jobs regionally in marine businesses promoting boating lifestyles from family cruising and fishing to yachts and the goods and services that sustain them, driving the economic output to $8.9 billion in Broward County and $12 billion regionally. Created in 1961, the nonprofit trade group is focused on the sound growth of the marine industry in the South Florida Region to benefit its members, their customers, communities and the environment. The Association has over 500 members in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties and is the owner of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Through the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, advocacy efforts, programs and services of MIASF have combined to raise the professionalism of the industry and awareness of its impact and contributions by the public, elected, and regulatory officials at the local, state, and federal levels. Members have fostered a reputation for the region to be known as the goods and service center of the world for the yachting and marine community.

Previous History Maker honorees have included The Forman Family, “Alligator Ron” Bergeron, City Commissioner Steven Glassman, developer Dev Motwani, H. Wayne Huizenga, Chris Evert and Jimmy Evert, The Sun-Sentinel, Winterfest and Susan and Buddy Lochrie.

History Fort Lauderdale’s 2021 History Makers fundraiser is presented by Safe Harbor Lauderdale Marine Center, Roscioli Yachting Center and Ocean Wine & Spirits. The celebratory evening will include an elegant cocktail reception featuring a balloon pop and a raffle of luxury items followed by a seated dinner with an open bar, the awards presentation and live entertainment by Company B (“Fascinated”). The special event will be emceed by Jacey Birch, WPLG news anchor, with awards presented by Stuart Milk as the co-founder and board president of the Harvey Milk Foundation. KUSH Hospitality Group’s (KHG) Matthew “Kush” Kuscher and the team are preparing for another wild event at Kush Hialeah. KHG events tend to have clever tongue-in-cheek motifs and this one brings a peculiar pop-culture happening to the 305. Beginning Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Noon, is Kush Hialeah’s newest monthly event (taking place on the last Sunday of every month) – Kok Sh*t Bingo in combination with Vintage Flea, KHG’s new flea market concept. Cooking with The Galleria LIVE returns with an opportunity to meet Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants’ Chef and Senior Area Culinary Operations Manager Stephen Puhr on Saturday, August 28, at 2 p.m. This special culinary experience will benefit Heart Gallery of Broward County, a respected nonprofit organization committed to finding loving families for the hardest to place foster children.

A limited audience will take their gourmet cooking skills to the next level as Chef Puhr prepares Classic Tomato Bruschetta, Gnocchi Carbonara and Cooper’s Hawk Berry Crisp. Then, attendees will sample this delicious trio while receiving tips on the perfect wine pairings.

For the past year, hundreds of thousands have enjoyed engaging cooking demonstrations virtually, as part of Cooking with The Galleria’s free online series. The Galleria has provided educational and spirited culinary tutorials about how to prepare and serve delicious dishes including Filet Medallions and Parmesan Crusted Lobster Tails, Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops, Bone-in, Dry-rubbed Pork Chop, Chilean Sea Bass, Gruyere French Omelette, Maryland Style Lump Crab Cakes, Seafood Paella, Shrimp and Grits and Carne Asada Fajitas. Shooters Waterfront is proud to host That’s How We Roll “Sushi 101” Thursday, August 19 at 7:00 p.m. The “roll-it-yourself” class teaches all about the art of making, plating, and sake pairing for only $40 per person. Shooters Waterfront’s team of expert sushi chefs provide step-by-step instructions and patrons are encouraged to embrace a new skill set. The class covers basic techniques such as what to prep and the secrets to scouting out the freshest fish. Then the hands-on learning experience begins as attendees learn to roll two of their own sushi rolls before perfecting chopstick dexterity.

Under the chef’s step-by-step guidance, students will learn to wield a rolling mat while crafting two of the restaurant’s popular rolls: the Hamachi Fire roll with Hamachi, jalapeno, romaine, and spicy mayo, and the Kentucky Fried roll with tempura fried chicken tender and a mango sambal slaw. All guests and employees are required to wear a facial covering, maintain the social distance of 6 feet between visitors and wash their hands in accordance with the CDC guidelines.

The long-awaited return of in-person runway shows is back this weekend for the Miami Swim Week 2021. Editors, bloggers, and social influencers will make their way to Miami to see the new design trends for the year while enjoying the beachfront parties and sipping cocktails at Miami’s favorite Restaurants. Now available in South Florida! L’Chaim Farm, the only Cholov Yisroel Kosher farm in Florida, is hosting its Farmers Market every Sunday from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. The products are grown and produced on-site at L’Chaim Farm, using the highest standards of organic farming practices.

At the Farmers Market, guests can purchase products, including a variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs, a selection of KM-certified, Cholov Yisroel goat’s milk products (butter, regular milk, chocolate milk, strawberry milk, cold brew, buttermilk and cheese), free range eggs and more.

There is a goat milking demo each Sunday at 12:15 p.m., and guests can also meet and pet the goats. The Farmers Markets will include a variety of new activities each week, including horseback riding, axe throwing, fishing, cornhole, giant Jenga, horseshoes, bocce ball and more. Guests can also take a tour of the greenhouse with Farm Manager Jordan Holder.

L’Chaim Farm Head Chef Yosef Schwartz brings a passion for Kosher foods and flavors to L’Chaim Farm. He has a long history with food delivery services and even founded his own Kosher catering company, Hassid + Hipster.

Each Thursday, L’Chaim Farm also offers a selection of fresh produce and goat’s milk products for its Shabbat Pick Up from 2-6 p.m.

EST. 33 Thai Craft Brewery & Kitchen is bringing its patrons live music entertainment every weekend!

On the schedule every week is DJ Ani Phearce on Fridays from 4PM-8PM, DJ Elle on Saturdays from 8PM-Close and DJ Smeejay on Sundays from 12PM-4PM.

The DJ lineup features fresh beats for guests to groove to as they sip and savor on brews and plates from the grill. DJs on deck will be spinning a mix of open format tunes including cool “sing along” classics and 80s remixes before transitioning to deep house in the later hours.

Latin DJ Cesar Hernandez will be on the scene spinning all night long alongside live drummer Angel Emilio to ensure a full-fledged pachanga.
