OperaFest: Opera in the Movies
Opera has always been at the heart of cinema’s most unforgettable moments — and Florida Grand Opera brings that magic to life under the open sky. Opera in the Movies pairs live orchestra, chorus, and world-class voices with iconic film scenes playing overhead in real time. From the prison yard of Shawshank Redemption to the heartbreak of Philadelphia, from Bugs Bunny conducting Rossini to the Diva Dance of The Fifth Element, these are the songs that scored our lives — performed live, as they were always meant to be heard. No prior opera experience required. Just a blanket, someone you love, and a night you won’t forget.

OperaFest: The Barber of Seville
When Count Almaviva falls for the spirited Rosina, there’s one problem — her scheming guardian, Doctor Bartolo, wants to marry her himself. Enter Figaro, Seville’s legendary barber and master of chaos, who hatches a plan involving disguises, secret letters, and more schemes than anyone can keep straight. But Rosina isn’t waiting to be rescued — she’s the smartest one in the room. Rossini’s comic masterpiece is an explosion of bel canto brilliance, breakneck comedy, and irresistible melody, where love wins, the old fool loses, and the audience gets a world-class night under the stars.

OperaFest: Opera Remix
Opera Remix is Miami’s grand finale — and it sounds exactly like this city. For one night, world-class operatic voices, chorus, and orchestra share the stage with internationally renowned artists from Latin music, reggae, jazz, and EDM, reimagining beloved songs through unexpected collaborations that no one has heard quite like this before. Bold, sophisticated, and unmistakably Miami, Opera Remix isn’t just a concert. It’s a movement — where tradition meets innovation, cultures collide, and opera speaks every language this city knows.
