On Friday, Nov. 6, at least 30 teams of students, professionals, community groups, and seniors will race decorated, wheeled beds across Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in the only official bed race in Miami-Dade County. The Sprint for Seniors Bed Race is hosted by the Homeless Trust and proudly powered by our partner, Miami Dade College.
It’s a spirited and thrilling way to step out and help solve one of our community’s most urgent challenges: One in four unhoused individuals in Miami-Dade County is over the age of 55, making older adults the fastest-growing homeless population in our community.

Proceeds will go directly toward meeting seniors’ unique needs, from securing housing to providing essentials to help make a house a home.
So let’s go! Build a bed and build a better future for unhoused Miamians.
