Myers grew up in Columbia, Maryland and began his comedy career at the age of 18 at Winchester’s Pub in Baltimore.[1] In 2005 he won the “Funniest Person in Baltimore” contest.[2] Myers later moved to Florida where he was named 2011 Florida’s Funniest Comedian.

Dustin Chafin was born in a doublewide trailer in Kilgore, Texas; son of a used-car salesman and a beautiful and wild hippy child; grandson of Choctaw Native Americans: Dustin Chafin is both Cowboy and Indian.

He’s made many television appearances including HBO and Comedy Central. You can see him performing live in Wynwood for one night only!

Special Guest Appearance by David Del Rosario

David Del Rosario has always been a comedic performer. Described as a freeform high energy character driven comic with an edge, in 2005 he had already performed improv and his first stand up comedy acts alongside Comedy Central Present’s very own Al Jackson. In 2009, David created the live sketch comedy show “Category Seven” and then joined Just The Funny Theatre in 2010. In 2011, as a member of the JTF Theater main stage cast; he was given the ability to redefine sketch and improv comedy as a member of the team “Special In A Bad Way”. The group has gone on to receive notoriety in The Miami Herald & The New Times.

Moon River Cabaret celebrates April 20th, a date synonymous with 420 and everything Marijuana, using it as the backdrop for another monthly spectacular spectacle produced at Wynwood’s hottest new venue, Barter!

This show will have a full out Maryjane infused musical playlist with all of our Burlesque performers dancing to classic weed hazed tunes and modern burnt blunt bumping tracks guaranteed to even contact buzz the non-smokers! Our standup comedians will be re-hashing all their old burn-out jokes and stories of living in the green cloud!

10 Days of Connection is a community-led initiative to promote kindness and inclusion in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. From May 1-10, participants are invited to attend connection experiences hosted by more than 100 local organizations, and are challenged to step outside of their comfort zone to forge new connections across lines of difference.

In recent years, people have become increasingly divided across lines of difference. Incidents of hate have increased, and tolerance for differing ideas has decreased. For ten days each year, we challenge the entire community to break down silos and engage in acts of connection, to build empathy, to increase understanding, and to refocus on our shared humanity.

Join us for the fifth annual Buskerfest Miami Street Performance Festival in Downtown Miami on Friday, December 15th! From 4-7 pm, local artists will perform 45-minute sets at the Inner Loop stops of the Metromover and select satellite locations, including the Olympia Theater, Sparky’s Roadside Barbecue and Miami Center for Architecture and Design. Starting at 6pm the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives will be screening historical Miami footage in Bayfront Park. This year our Children’s Corner is presented by Miami Children’s Museum, and moves to Bayfront Park for an abundance of vibrant, interactive story readings, performances, crafts and activities. The Comedy Corner by Comic Cure returns to bring laughter to the streets! Grab an official Buskerfest Miami Passport at any stop to track your travels; select your favorite act of the night and cash-in on deals and discounts at nearby restaurants, bars and retailers. At 7 pm, all attendees and performers convene in Bayfront Park for the Buskextravaganza, a concentrated showcase of local performers! Grab your lawn chair for the wrap-up party that begins at 8pm at the Tina Hills Pavilion in Bayfront Park, featuring Electric Kif and other prominent local musicians. The event is free and caters to all audiences.

Stand up comedians and graff writers have a lot in common – both hustling nonstop to make their visions a reality. This coming Sunday at Yo Space Gallery & Studios we’re going to prove it by throwing these two cultures a shindig where these artforms can thrive.
This innovative new night will welcome graffiti writers and street artists to swap slaps and sketchbooks (think: Writer’s Bench http://www.at149st.com/bench.html) and add in an open mic starting midway into the night, including comedy, spoken word, music and more.
Hosted by comics Regi Desjardins and Abe Perez, there’ll be plenty going on to keep you entertained while you get down in a sketchbook or trade some stickers with fellow collectors.
We’ll have refreshments, and as always ping pong table and N64 to fill in the gaps and everything else you need for a laid back good time.

Itâ€™s time to bring a little culture to Downtown Miami! CULTRA is a roving Open Mic held in a Downtown Miami park every third-Thursday from January to May. Produced in collaboration with Emerge Miami, CULTRA is an opportunity for local performers in all disciplines to showcase their skills for fellow Miamians in some of the most scenic public spaces this town has to offer. This month, we are taking CULTRA to the water thanks to the folks from Miami Science Barge!

The Imperial joins us as the host and curator this time around. Photographer Rod Deal and artist Marcus Blake have been hosting nights of free expression for nearly a decade at prominent Miami venues like the Vagabond and the Stage. Weâ€™ll start with the usual 90 minutes of open mic time from 7:30 â€“ 9pm followed by a feature performer.

We’ll have the usual 90 minutes of open mic time from 7:30 – 9pm followed by a feature set from Gypsy Latin jammers TAMBOKA.

CULTRA brings a little more culture to downtown in the first-ever roving, outdoor open mic in Miami starting on Thursday, January 19, 2017.

A collaborative event series produced by Buskerfest Miami and Emerge Miami, CULTRA is an opportunity for local performers in all disciplines to showcase their skills for fellow Miamians in some of the most scenic public spaces Downtown Miami has to offer. On the third-Thursday of each month, January to May 2017, CULTRA will be held in one of the Downtown Miami parks in an effort to put the â€œpublicâ€ back in public spaces and foster connections between attendees and our precious bayfront.

The event begins with ninety minutes of open stage time followed by a feature performance by a well-known local group. Each edition of CULTRA will be a collaboration with one of Miamiâ€™s other prominent, long-running open mics and include a guest host. Artistic Vibes, who produces one of Miamiâ€™s longest-running weekly open mics, will host the inaugural CULTRA event on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Tina Hills Pavilion in Bayfront Park. Future dates of CULTRA are February 16, March 16, April 20 and May 18.
