DAY 1 🌴
For the first time, Intriga is stepping into the new BOHO location, and we wanted to experience it a little differently.
During the day.
The Jungle is one of those spaces you have to see under the sun. The greenery, the details and the way the entire patio has been put together make it feel like it was made for an afternoon that slowly turns into night.
So on September 26th, we’re taking it over.
Starting at 4PM, we’ve put together a varied and carefully curated lineup of familiar faces and some of our favorite local DJs. Expect the music to move throughout the day between Afro House, Progressive House, Indie Dance and Tech House, building with the energy of the space from afternoon into sunset and eventually into the night.
After three years of building Intriga through our nights, DAY 1 feels like another glimpse of where we’re headed. New spaces, different experiences and more ways to bring our community together around the music.

Join us for the opening reception of “Photographing Myself: Bunny Yeager [in Dialogue with Aldeide Delgado, Naomi Fisher, and Val Souza].”

Photographing Myself: Bunny Yeager [in Dialogue with Aldeide Delgado, Naomi Fisher, and Val Souza] presents a feminist intervention by curator Aldeide Delgado into How I Photograph Myself (1964), a landmark photobook by pioneering Miami-based photographer Bunny Yeager (1929–2014).

Yeager began her career as a pin-up model before establishing herself as a photographer in the 1950s. Moving across photography, modeling, writing, filmmaking, and fashion, she became one of the most influential figures in American photography of the 1950s and 1960s.

In How I Photograph Myself, Yeager turned the camera toward herself, staging her image through clothing, makeup, hairstyles, poses, props, and locations. Taking the book as its point of departure, the exhibition presents selected and intervened fragments from the publication, contextualizing Yeager’s photoperformative practice through her own voice and reconsidering her legacy through questions of agency, self-representation, the male gaze, and female spectatorship.

Yeager’s work enters into dialogue with contemporary artists Naomi Fisher and Val Souza, whose practices explore desire, feminism, performance, the body, and visual culture. The exhibition presents rarely seen work by Miami-based Fisher and marks the first presentation of Brazilian artist Val Souza’s work in the United States.

Join us for Opening Night, Saturday, September 19, from 6–9 PM, and experience an intergenerational conversation about women taking control of the camera and their own image.

Event schedule:

6:00 pm | Opening

7:00 pm | Curator’s tour

Enjoy music and light refreshments throughout the evening.

Content Advisory: The exhibition contains nudity. Viewer discretion is advised.

This public art initiative is designed to honor veterans while raising awareness and funds for critical mental health services. Shoppers can take colorful photos and selfies to share online and connect with and donate to HBH’s virtual Legacy Wall which encourages friends and families to honor loved ones who have served or are currently serving our country. The cherished photo opportunity with the larger-than-life artistic poppy flowers will run through November 10 at Galleria Fort Lauderdale (2414 East Sunrise Blvd.).

Designed by South Florida based Ingham Landscaping and presented by Galleria Fort Lauderdale, the two-month living garden will be a colorful and lively setting featuring the five-and 6-foot striking handcrafted fiberglass poppy flowers which are a remembrance of those who protect and serve our country. The inside mall garden will include a variety of tropical ornamental plants and shrubs that will complement the artistic poppy works of art.

Adding to the installation, will be “Soldier Stories,” an exclusive exhibition by award-winning artist Marilyn Johansen honoring veterans and the military.
