Join MOAD for a special yoga class in the Knight Skylight Gallery at the Freedom Tower.

Romina (Romi) began practicing yoga back in 2017, the physical aspect of yoga served as a launch pad and she quickly fell in love with the practice and aimed to explore many different types of yoga. A practice that was a hobby quickly turned into a passion. Her love of yoga pushed Romina to pursue her 200-hr yoga teacher training in Orlando, FL and she now teaches in many different areas in Miami. Romina enjoys teaching vinyasa flow and gentle flows with creative transitions, focusing on strengths, stability and alignment.

Whether you are a beginner or advance practitioner, using movement and breathwork, rest assure you’ll leave feeling transformed in all aspects of the mind, body, and spirit.

Admission to the Freedom Tower exhibitions and galleries following the class is included with your RSVP.

Attendees may park for free in the MDC garage at 500 NE Second Avenue, between NE Fifth and NE Sixth Streets.

Please bring your own yoga mat. Yoga mats will not be available onsite.

Feeding South Florida® – the leading hunger-relief organization in South Florida – will host its Annual OutrunHunger 5K in Palm Beach County in celebration of Hunger Action Month on Saturday, Sept. 19. Every registration helps provide 120 meals for individuals and families facing hunger and food insecurity.

Runners, families and community leaders of all ages will come together to take steps in the scenic Okeeheelee Park to raise funds and awareness to end hunger in South Florida. Participants will also enjoy a Kids Zone, local vendors, family-friendly activities, and more.

Hunger Action Month, a nationwide initiative created by Feeding America®, takes place throughout September and is designed to raise awareness about the issue of hunger in America and inspire others to take action toward ending it. Throughout the month, Feeding South Florida will offer a range of events and activities to encourage South Florida residents to “GO ORANGE” and engage in various hunger relief efforts.

This year’s event will be emceed by Noura Salman, Survivor season 39 finalist, CPA, founder of SuperFreshies.com, and creator of the Lean Out Now™ health and wellness program as well as Kirk Gimenez, senior vice president at Brickell Capital Finance, two-time Emmy winner, founder and TV host of Xizzle TV, and member of Feeding South Florida’s Advisory Council.

Outrun Hunger race day check-in opens at 6:30 a.m., and the 5K will begin at 7:30 a.m. After the race, an awards ceremony and a raffle will take place. Participants can join the event as an individual or a team and conduct online fundraising prior to race day.
