Do you create wearable art with a price tag too high for the Craft fair market, and are looking to reach the upscale collector clientele? Whitespace Collection introduces a premier boutique event, Collect12345, for the most unique wearable designs: jewelry, textiles, and sculptural accessories.

Seeking items priced at a minimum of $80 per item, and maximum of $1500 per item. Items may be one of a kind or in multiple, but should have the level of craft and innovation expected for the upscale market.
10 artisans will be selected and featured for each event.

Juried and hosted by Whitespace-The Mordes collection, West Palm Beach, Fl. Whitespace has established the brand, featuring work by fine jewelry artisans at the Boca Raton Museum of art, Aqua Art Fair – Miami, Art Palm Beach, Art Wynwood – Miami, Boca Raton Art Fair and now Chicago, Naples and the Fine Art, Antique and Jewelry Fair, numerous upscaled charitable boutiques and art events among others, and has attracted a following, retaining a large number of collectors of unique wearables.

Collect12345 could be the unique opportunity for you to reach this select audience, as the the boutique will be for one weekend each month, during the peak of collector season. All artists that exhibit in the Collect1-2-3-4-5, unique will also be considered for inclusion in future Whitespace art fair events as part of the Collect Team!

TERMS:
– $20 jury fee (sent by Paypal to whitespacecollect@gmail.com) must accompany the application to be considered.
– Artists MUST be present for the open hours of each event they participate in.
– Artists will be given a 4 foot table. Artists must bring any necessary display items, or if hanging textiles, provide their own racks.
– Whitespace will assist in processing sales by cash or credit card, use triplicate receipts, and retain 25% of all sales.
– Whitespace will pack and wrap all items sold.
– Payment to artist will be within 10 days of event
If accepted:
If selected, the fee to participate is for $250 for 1 event/1 indoor table, and payment will act as guarantee of inclusion. Artists may apply for multiple events. If accepted for more that one event, the reduced cost for 2 events is $225 each, or 3 or more events $200 each.
– Artist are to arrive 2 hours ahead of each event to unload, set up, and check in.
– Artist will be able to leave items overnight and can not remove their display until the event ends, at the listed time.
– All decisions of the curator/jurors are final.
– If accepted, you give Whitespace Collection the right to publish submitted images for publicity of Collect12345.

The circus-themed bowling tournament begins at 11 a.m. and includes a silent auction, Big Top trivia games, food, drinks and more to benefit the nonprofit organization’s yearly Down syndrome family retreat.

Deliver the Dream’s annual Down Syndrome Family Retreat will host as many as 15 families (at no cost to the participants). This retreat, along with nine other planned yearly retreats spanning various crises and medical conditions including autism, cancer and epilepsy, combines traditional recreational activities with therapeutic activities, peer-to-peer discussion groups and expressive arts and music activities.

What: VITAS Healthcare, the nation’s leading provider of end-of-life care, is offering an orientation class for new volunteers in the Boynton Beach area. Volunteers receive a free and comprehensive training, where they learn hospice philosophy, caring for the terminally ill, grief and loss education, and more. A meal will be provided at the orientation.

Upon completing the orientation, volunteers are given the opportunity to choose the role in which they feel comfortable and fulfilled. Roles of the hospice volunteers include visiting patients in their homes, nursing homes or assisted living facilities to offer companionship, run errands and help in other meaningful ways.

Who: VITAS Healthcare welcomes individuals interested in volunteer opportunities in the Boynton Beach area. Hospice volunteers make a difference for people at the end of their life journey, filling the gap between loved ones and professional caregivers.

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run presented by Turkish Airlines, a three circuit 5K (3.1 mile) Run Walk, will once again wind its way through the streets of West Palm Beach. Known as “Florida’s Largest Office Party”, the run is open to employees of businesses, corporations, government agencies, financial institutions and non-profits – regardless of company size – and incorporates a special competition to award the overall men’s, women’s and co-ed teams in 20 different industries. ROSE: An intimate Portrait of Rose Kennedy, by best-selling author Laurence Leamer, will kick-off the inaugural 2017-18 South Florida Season from Forum Productions, in conjunction with the Greenhouse Theater Center NFP, on November 29 at Mizner Park Cultural Center.

A renowned Kennedy expert, Leamer has penned three best-selling tomes: “The Kennedy Women: The Saga of an American Family,” “The Kennedy Men” and “Sons of Camelot.”

ROSE is directed by revered Chicago director Steve Scott and stars Linda Reiter, a Chicago theater veteran who originated the role at The Greenhouse Theater and recently won a Jeff Award for her portrayal. Forum Productions, in conjunction with the Greenhouse Theater Center NFP, is seeking actors and actresses to portray the lead and supporting roles in Truman and the Birth of Israel, a world premiere play by Chicago playwright William Spatz. Auditions will be held on Friday, September 29, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Mizner Park Cultural Center, 201 Plaza Real in Boca Raton. The production will make its debut on March 21, 2018 and will run through April 8, 2018. Rehearsals start on March 4.

From humble beginnings as a poor farmer, soldier and failed businessman to the unimaginable: president and thrust headlong into global turmoil, Truman and the Birth of Israel tells the real story of how one Missouri man’s unlikely rise to power changed the future of the Jewish people forever. The show is directed by Clayton Phillips and produced by Forum Productions, the highly acclaimed comprehensive stage and theater company based in Chicago. The company has produced/co-produced 17 plays including the well-received Churchill and Solo Celebration!, a series of one-actor plays all staged at the Greenhouse Theater in Chicago.

Actors and actresses (including understudies) are being sought for the following roles:

HARRY S. TRUMAN: (Equity/Non-equity); 50s – late 60s, 33rd President of the United States; Proper and plainspoken but with a temper, Missouri Midwestern drawl with a blunt, yet folksy disposition.

CLARK CLIFFORD: (Non-equity); Early 40s – mid 50s; A lawyer and close friend of Truman’s, handsome, fit, calm and sophisticated.

MELVYN BELLI (Non-equity): Late 30s – 50s; An attorney for the defense who is sarcastic, aggressive and incites provocation.

EDDIE JACOBSON: (Non-equity); 50s – 60s; A close friend of Truman’s; in real life paunchy and balding, soft-spoken, under-educated, comes across as an awkward country fellow from Missouri but his easygoing personality makes him a good salesman.

BELLA ABZUG: (Non-equity); early 30s – early 40s; Truman’s attorney, an unmistakable New Yorker, born of Russian Jewish parents, with personality galore. Not a shrinking violet, though she’s both advocating for and attacking the former President of the United States.

AL SCHWIMMER: (Non-equity); 40s – 50s; Witness for the defense who is a handsome and commanding presence – forceful and confident.

Forum Productions, in conjunction with the Greenhouse Theater Center NFP, is seeking actors and actresses to portray the lead and supporting roles in Truman and the Birth of Israel, a world premiere play by Chicago playwright William Spatz. Auditions will be held on Friday, September 8, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Mizner Park Cultural Center, 201 Plaza Real in Boca Raton. The production will make its debut on March 21, 2018 and will run through April 8, 2018. Rehearsals start on March 4.

From humble beginnings as a poor farmer, soldier and failed businessman to the unimaginable: president and thrust headlong into global turmoil, Truman and the Birth of Israel tells the real story of how one Missouri man’s unlikely rise to power changed the future of the Jewish people forever. The show is directed by Clayton Phillips and produced by Forum Productions, the highly acclaimed comprehensive stage and theater company based in Chicago.
