FalconTrust Air which is considered the “Taj Majal” of executive (private) airports located at Tamiami Executive Airport houses a newly constructed 33,000 square foot airplane hangar.

Cost: Two new unwrapped toys for a boy & girl ages infant – 17 or $20 donation per person. Toys will be distributed to FCPi’s foundation “Helping Families in-need” selected families, the Miami Children’s Hospital and the Camelot Community Care. Vendor space is available with two new unwrapped toys and a raffle donation or $50 table fee.

All that will be participating in the event on Dec 6, FCPi Staff, sponsors, designers, Miss Runway Winners, models, performers, Hot Pink Dolls and Queens must attend the Toy Drive photo shoot. Shoot will take place at 7pm. All must dress upscale and for the occassion. The hotel lobby will be decorated very festive, so dress appropriately. Please no shorts, jeans or sports attire. Hot Pink Dolls must wear Pink & White. Bring your two new unwrapped toys for kids ages infants to 17 to this event.

Each year FIU Department of Interior Design presents its annual Festival of the Trees, a local tradition now in its 22nd year. It marks the start of the holiday season by showcasing the creativity of South Florida’s premier design professionals who design holiday trees made from every imaginable material. Hundreds are expected for the opening, including some of Miami’s most well-known figures in the real estate, arts, architecture and design communities. Marvel at the originality of each tree while enjoying exceptional cuisine, cocktails and entertainment provided by exotically costumed performers and the FIU Jazz Ensemble. Guests will be able to vote for their favorite tree, and two winners will be chosen – the judge’s choice and people’s choice. Proceeds from the Festival of the Trees will be used to fund student scholarships and educational enhancements. Tickets are $50 if purchased in advance and $65.00 purchased at the door.

Bayfront Park’s Tree Lighting Ceremony 11/28/08

Bring the whole family to Bayfront Park’s Tree Lighting Ceremony and join us in kicking off the holiday season! This FREE event, the day after Thanksgiving, will include live holiday music and the “official” lighting of the tree.

Created by Christmas Designers, Inc. (with over 25 years of experience throughout South Florida), the tree is a striking, 50 ft. tall artificial tree adorned with a custom lighting package. It will stay lit every night thereafter and will remain in the park through Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Sing along to your favorite carols with Crazy Pianos, The Greatest Show on Earth! This piano duo, flown in from the Netherlands, will sing all of the holiday favorites and take requests. In anticipation of the opening of Crazy Pianos (a unique and wildly popular dueling piano bar, full service restaurant, and late night concert venue) in CocoWalk, they have taken their show on the road! Crazy Pianos, currently open in the Netherlands and Spain, will mark their U.S. debut with their facility in Coconut Grove’s CocoWalk in February 2009, at the space formerly occupied by Tu Tu Tango. Their upcoming global expansion includes locations in London, Dubai, Disney Paris,
San Francisco, Las Vegas, and New York City.
