Ooey-Gooey Science!

It’s Slime Time at MODS! Soothe your stress, stimulate your senses and have some messy science fun with the Museum’s signature slime bar. Customize your concoction and enjoy it as a make-and-take after your visit!

● Exhibits, Shows and Demos: Become a super slimeologist at the ooey-gooey Slime Lab. Make-and-take slime after learning the best techniques in our slime-making workshops, then take a picture in front of our slime wall. Learn to make slime bubbles and see who can make their super slimy goo stretch the longest.*

● Animal Encounters: Learn about different slimy creatures, including slugs, frogs and many others.

● Watch an IMAX on the GIANT Screen: Animal Kingdom, Secrets of the Sea, Legend of the Enchanted Reef and more!

● Career Connection: Explore careers in chemistry and the culinary arts by following slime recipes and observing how ingredient ratios affect the final product!
Just for Early Learners (ages 0-6): Create bubble slime paintings and experience cloud slime dough and sensory slime bags.

Included with Museum admission.

*Participants must register for make-and-take slime at The Hangar upon entry.

Experience South Florida’s award-winning attraction featuring 150,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits, an outdoor science park, a live animal collection, a rotating schedule of science shows, learning labs, café, store and a grand atrium featuring the Great Gravity Clock, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture; the largest clock in Florida. The showpiece of the museum since 1993, this unique timepiece is one of only three in the world.

Children can also visit MODS’ newest traveling exhibit “Thomas & Friends™: Explore the Rails!” Rail. The exhibit was created by the Minnesota Children’s Museum in partnership with Mattel, Inc. and is nationally presented by Fisher-Price.
