To change things a bit, our event tonight will feature acoustic music performed by two young new music masters currently residing in Miami.

Mari-Liis Pakk, violinist, is one of the leading Estonian artists of her generation and has appeared at festivals around the world. Among her recent appearances have been those at the Red Sea Festival in Eilat, Israel and at Carnegie Hall. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist and Temple universities.

Jason Calloway, cellist, is currently a member of the Banff Award-winning Amernet String Quartet, Ensemble-in-Residence at Florida International University. A devoted advocate for new music, he has worked extensively with Pierre Boulez and the Ensemble InterContemporain across Europe and has given hundreds of premieres by composers as diverse as Birtwistle, Carter, and Lachenmann. He is a graduate of the Juilliard School and the University of Southern California.
The duo of Mari-Liis Pakk and Jason Calloway is pleased to present this diverse program of works being heard for the first time in Miami, as partners both in music and in life.

With the support of Foundation of Emerging Technologies and Arts, Harold Golen Gallery, SCFA and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
