Steven & Dorothea Green Multi-Purpose Room

Internationally acclaimed artist and FIU Professor, Clive King, will talk about his work, currently on view on the first floor of The Frost Art Museum, on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 6-8 pm in the Steven & Dorothea Green Multi-Purpose Room.

Born in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales U.K. he came to FIU as chair of the visual arts department in 1992. His previous position was senior lecturer at Oxford Brookes University Oxford U.K. At present he is professor of drawing. The scale of his works, as well as the panoramic structure, represent the themes that interest him most: the uneasy relationship between landscape and industry, cultural erosion, conflict and synthesis.
