CONDÉ NAST TRAVELER TO HOST RECEPTION CELEBRATING CINEMATIC PHOTOGRAPHY OF DAVID DREBIN AS FEATURED ON THE COVER OF CONDÉ NAST TRAVELER ROOM WITH A VIEW
Event pays homage to photographer’s breadth of work coinciding with book’s launch and release of Condé Nast Traveler’s March issue, also featuring artist’s photo

WHO/WHAT: Condé Nast Traveler and Assouline have teamed up to celebrate the cinematic photography of David Drebin, as featured on the cover of Condé Nast Traveler Room With A View as well as the cover the March issue. Coinciding with the book’s official launch, a reception will take place on Friday, March 19 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the photographer’s namesake location, the David Drebin Pop-Up Store in Royal Poinciana Plaza. RSVP Required.

South Florida’s art enthusiasts and world travelers will have the opportunity to browse an exclusive collection of the artist’s work, including cover shot “Girl in the Orange Dress,” while enjoying complimentary cocktails and canapés. Notably, 15 percent of the evening’s sales will be donated to the Lifesaver Scholarship Fund at Caron Renaissance Caron Treatment Centers, a nationally recognized non-profit drug and alcohol treatment network.

Hailing from Condé Nast Traveler’s column Room with a View, the like-titled book features frame-worthy vistas from around the world, with Drebin’s cover shot capturing the breathtaking view from the 12th floor of The Standard in New York City, overlooking High Line park and the Hudson River. The photograph is part of David Drebin’s diverse collection of epic cityscapes, cinematic dreamscapes, and a variety of other of glorious scenes from around the globe.

Drebin’s work has been exhibited in galleries around the world, including Fahey Klein in Los Angeles, Camera Work in Berlin, Young Gallery in Brussels, and Torch Gallery in Amsterdam, as well as in numerous International Art Fairs, including Paris Photo, Art Miami, Scope New York, and others on the global Art Fair circuit. His large-scale photographs have also recently been on display at The House of Photography Museum in Hamburg, Germany. In April 2009, Drebin broke auction records when his work “Movie Star” garnered more than twice the asking bid at Philips De Pury in New York and subsequently sold out.
