Join us for a family-friendly day of educational play with Smithsonian Latino Center’s ¡Descubra! science activities on Frost Science opening weekend! On Saturday, May 13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the museum’s Knight Learning Center, play the role of a scientist, as you engage in different hands-on projects that explore biology, health, marine science and engineering, while taking part in special activities created by ¡Descubra!’s national collaborating organization, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Then, meet real-world scientists, like expert microbiologist Dr. Tracie Delgado and marine ecology researcher Dr. Iris Segura-Garcia, as we celebrate women in science. It’s an action-packed afternoon you won’t want to miss!

¡Descubra! is made possible, in part, through program support provided by NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. To learn more about our sponsor’s educational resources, please visit El Poder en Ti.
