Orchestra Miami Performs Oceanophony, a Delightful Combination of Music and Science for Children

Children and their families are invited to plunge into a world of undersea wonders with Oceanophony, merging beautiful music and science! In this piece by award-winning composer Bruce Adolphe, performed by eight musicians from Orchestra Miami, conducted by Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi and with visual images by Michael Greenberg, children will learn about undersea life, coral reefs, biodiversity and more through music and poems. Attendees will discover answers to questions such as: What happens when you poke a pufferfish? Do seahorses mate for life? What exactly is a cleaning station? Is marine snow cold?

4:15 p.m., 5 p.m. performances: Free with museum admission
5:45 p.m. performance: Free and open to the public, no museum admission required
