Miami’s Business Community joins South Florida’s own “Big Mama†in her mission to feed Hundreds of Needy Families this Thanksgiving
South Florida’s unofficial grandmother, Essie Reed, also known as “Big Mama†is set to receive a huge helping hand this Thanksgiving. More than a handful of business owners around Miami are collaborating to host the 3rd annual ‘Pay It Forward Charity Food Drive’, an event aimed at providing ‘Big Mama’ with enough food to feed hundreds of needy families this Thanksgiving. The event will be held this Friday, November 12th from 6:00 to 11:00pm at the Surfcomber hotel located at 1717 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach and is being hosted by the Doubletree Surfcomber Hotel, Creative Healthcare Marketing, Strictly Business Networking Group, The Smack Brothers D.J’s, Y.R. Public Relations and Be So Funky Productions. Non-perishable foods, canned goods and gift cards will be accepted and will directly benefit Big Mama’s Team of Life, Inc, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping South Florida’s youth. Big Mama herself will be at the event.
Not only is the event a massive food collection focused on providing needy families with a nutritious Thanksgiving dinner, but it is also a networking event aimed at celebrating and gathering South Florida’s business community. The celebration will include music by DJ Vidal and DJ Fox- “The Smack Brothers†and a special music set to celebrate the birthday of DJ Bill Kelly, co-founder and director of Winter Music Conference.
All who attend will also enjoy complimentary hors d ‘oeuvres, prize giveaways, half priced drinks until 8pm and reduced valet parking. All media is invited to attend.
