Please join us for a silent auction of art from some of the top artists in Miami and beyond, along with live music, food and beverages.
The College of Arts and Sciences’ Africana Studies Program, Department of Art and Art History, and the Lowe Art Museum will host a silent art auction to benefit the UM Global Institute/Project Medishare. Founded in 1995 by Barth Green, M.D., professor and chairman of neurological surgery and Arthur Fournier, M.D., professor and vice chair of family medicine and community health at the UM Miller School of Medicine, Project Medishare has been working to help the people of Haiti with medical, educational and agricultural needs. Since the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti, the UM Global Institute/Project Medishare and Miller School physicians and other health care professionals have been in Haiti treating the injured and working to build permanent medical facilities to aid in the long-term rehabilitation of the Haitian people.
All proceeds benefit the UM Global Institute
