Fountain Miami announces partnership with tastemaker and cultural icon Flavorpill. This accord introduces a network of media services to the cutting-edge exhibition for independent art galleries during the Art Basel Miami Beach weekend.

Fountain Miami’s 16,000 square foot warehouse and four day art exhibition will present a reception for the artists on Friday, Dec 4 followed by evening of live performances Saturday, Dec 5 – both of which will be hosted by Flavorpill. Along with Hedley’s Shipping as a returning Presenting Sponsor, Fountain is now set to present the largest exhibition since its inception four years ago.

”Flavorpill brings to Fountain Miami a media presence that provides independent galleries unparalleled exposure during the Art Basel weekend,” stated Fountain organizer John Leo. “We are thrilled with the benefits provided by this dynamic partnership. Strong media alliances such as this promise to introduce a new audience to Fountain. We believe it is a tremendous opportunity for our galleries. Ultimately this is a win-win situation for the independent gallery and art curator.”

Fountain Miami 2009 is building steam as a must see event for Art Basel Miami Beach this December. Already known for presenting cutting-edge and independent art galleries, this year’s Fountain will be no different as exhibition producers have secured the same venue as last year. Fountain has also established a partnership with Headley’s Shipping to provide a gracious donation of shipping for participating galleries to and from the event. This show, our fourth in Miami, will prove to be the largest event yet.

Video Producer Morgan Riles releases her video compilation of the Fountain New York 2009 and can be viewed at the bottom of this release. Exhibition areas are still available for Miami and interested parties should contact us at once. Located at 2505 North Miami Ave at the corner of 25th st, Fountain will run from December 3 – 6 concurrent with Art Basel, Pulse, Aqua, Scope and other important art fairs. Fountain is a guerrilla-style art event, dubbed by many as the “Anti Art Fair” for its brash, off-the-wall offerings of non-traditional art exhibitions in the art fair environment.

Fountain’s venue, a 16,000 square-foot complex with both interior and exterior exhibition areas, is adjacent to all the major Miami exhibitions. Exhibiting galleries occupy approximately 500 – 1500 square feet of exhibition space each, so visitors can expect massive installations of contemporary painting, sculpture, performance and new media art.
