Thursday, February 26 at 5:30 p.m.

Celebrating its 40th Anniversary, the Health Council of South Florida, Inc. is hosting a special evening, “Rubies & Rhythm,” featuring cocktails and silent auction from 5:30 to 7 p.m., followed by dinner and the program. Special honorees this year are Benjamin Leon, Jr., who will receive the Outstanding Health Advocate Award, and Romero Britto, the recipient of the Exceptional Community Service Award. For four decades the HCSF has been forecasting health care needs and access to health care delivery systems; providing data analysis and insight; increasing public awareness; and providing consultation and assistance to Miami-Dade County officials in the development and implementation of health care policy. Proceeds from this event will further the mission and help fund the HCSF Scholarship Fund established to address the shortage of professional healthcare personnel in our community.
