The Polynesian Voyaging Society has embarked on a worldwide journey aboard HÅkÅ«leÊ»a, a canoe replicated from those used by ancient Polynesians, circumnavigating the globe and covering 47,000 nautical miles. Their goal is to highlight cultural and natural treasures while encouraging the protection of environmental resources for a more sustainable world. During the Florida leg of their trip, they will make a stop at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden to share their incredible travel stories with visitors. Lecture begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Garden House.
