#ThankYouMiami for Fashion – A Reflection On Our Personal Style

We have been reflecting a lot lately. Maybe it’s common for our age or maybe we’re going crazy – nevertheless, these days, our brain has been on nostalgia overdrive. Today, we reminisced super hard as we watched our little sister cross the finish line of her first full marathon. We couldn’t have been more proud of her. We also couldn’t have been more emotional about watching her reach such an incredible milestone.

We’re gearing up for even more waterworks as Mother’s Day quickly approaches. All our recent reflection has emphasized just how important our mom is to us. And, as we prepare to celebrate her on Thursday, April 30th at The Falls INDULGE: Fashion and Fun for Moms event, we can’t help but get teary-eyed at how she has influenced us throughout our life. ¡Ay!, pero es tan emocional that we can’t even…

During next Thursday’s event, we will be styling mom so we decided to take a deeper look at how she has influenced our personal style over the years. A quick scan of our childhood photo albums yielded countless blackmail of our sisters and us sporting matching outfits and bowl haircuts (really, mom?!). But it also uncovered one photo that directly speaks to our present day style, specifically our obsession with overalls – the photo shown above.

While today’s look gives its usual nod to the Miami style, for us it also speaks to that one childhood photo and what it represents: our mom’s hand in who we are today. ¡Gracias por todo, mamá! This one’s for you.
