SMDCAC and The Opera Atelier present “Great Opera Moments,” an imaginative operatic production inspired in the classical tradition and incorporating elements from other performing arts, media, and visual arts. After successful presentations at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, as well as in New York City and Latin America, The Opera Atelier comes to the South Miami-Dade Cultural Center with a varied program featuring seasoned and emerging local and international vocal talents, and with the special participation of the Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. The program will include staged scenes from La nozze di Figaro, La bohème, Ponchielli’s La Gioconda, La traviata, Rigoletto and Turandot.
