It’s time to dust off those bell bottoms and grab those platform shoes, the 4th Annual Taste of Miami event — Saturday Night Feeder – will take place Saturday, January 12, 2013, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This year’s disco-themed culinary tour of Miami restaurants and caterers is again hosted by the LGBT Visitors Center as a fundraiser for the Center and the MDGLCC Foundation’s scholarship program, which this year will present a $500 scholarship to a student from Johnson & Wales. Culinary students from Johnson & Wales will be on hand at the Taste event to be mentored by the participating chefs.

“We are so excited to be hosting Taste of Miami for the fourth consecutive year. This year, we decided to shake things up with the Disco theme and add music and dancing in addition to the food and drink,” stated Karen Brown, executive director of the LGBT Visitor’s Center. “The goal is for everyone to leave full, happy and tired from dancing like a Disco queen.”

Professional dancers will be on hand to start the line dancing to the ‘70s sounds of DJ Sayho with music direction by DJ Mika. Also, guests will enjoy an open bar courtesy of 42 Below vodka accompanied by delicious food from local restaurants such as City Hall, Haven, The Dome, Zen Sai and Centerplate to name a few.
