Read a review of Seun Kuti’s amazing Florida debut last year here. “Pyramids could have been constructed in this groove.” The young bandleader is bringing his super-classic Afrobeat all stars to Coachella this spring, stopping in Miami Beach en route.

Quantic is the nom de plum for a London-based producer now living and working in cumbia-central Colombia. Leading various bands, creating fantastic projects mixing Colombian rhythms with dub, jazz and soul, he brings his Sound System featuring Nidia Gongora to Miami Beach.

Pedrito Martinez performed at the 1st annual Heineken TransAtlantic Festival in 2003 as a member of Latin funk pioneers Yerba Buena. Now leading his own quartet in New York City, the Cuban percussionist is at the vanguard of modern AfroCuban rhythms. Visit Pedrito Martinez online.

Gold Dust Lounge has been called the Wynwood Arts District house band by BeachedMiami. Their noir-jazz music creates a soundtrack to a film you still have in your head. Visit Gold Dust Lounge online.

Mr. Pauer, DJ at the after show parties, is a Rhythm Foundation friend who happened to become famous last year. His CD of cumbia remixes and original sounds was nominated for a Latin Grammy, Best New Artist. He has been playing at clubs and festivals worldwide all year. Visit Mr Pauer online
