The 70th annual Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail Miami, one of the world’s greatest boating events, returns February 17-21, 2011, showcasing thousands of the newest powerboats, sailboats, engines, electronics and marine accessories from more than 2,000 leading manufacturers from around the world. From personal watercraft and performance boats to sport fishers and mega-yachts, the Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail Miami offers something for every boating lifestyle, activity and budget, plus fun attractions for boaters of all ages.

Attractions this year include the NEW Dive & Travel Harbor, the ideal U.S. destination for diving and travel enthusiasts; the Affordability Pavilion featuring boats that can be financed for $250 or less per month; the popular Big Game Room; plus a new boating education experience featuring free boat rides, on-the-water training courses, daily seminars and more.

Parking: Courtesy shuttle buses will run between all locations including the park and ride at the
American Airlines Arena from one hour prior to show opening through one hour after show close daily. Daily paring at the American Airlines Arena is $10.

New for 2011! Courtesy water taxi service is available between the park and ride at the
American Airlines Arena, Sea Isle Marina & Yachting Center, and Strictly Sail Miami at
Miamarina at Bayside from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily.

Exclusive to the 2011 Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail taking place February 17-21, the new Discover Boating Resource Center offers a unique on-the-water educational experience for boaters of all ages and skill levels. Visitors can take advantage of a variety of free, daily interactive courses including close quarter handling, joystock docking, navigation, scuba diving, and more.

“With the addition of the Discover Boating Resource Center, the Miami International Boat Show and Strictly Sail provides the ideal destination for new boaters to get educated on all of the benefits of the boating lifestyle, and seasoned captains to learn about the latest boating technologies and sharpen their skills,” said Cathy Rick-Joule, show manager. “Whether you want to become more confident docking, learn how to sail, or take the plunge scuba diving, the 2011 show gives people the unique experience to take to the water and discover why life is better with a boat!”

In addition to hundreds of exhibitors offering everything from the latest diving gear and clubs to the world’s most renowned adventure destinations, the Dive and Travel Harbor features activities for those looking to start exploring underwater as well as seasoned pros who want to find the newest in diving and gather with fellow enthusiasts.

Dive and Travel Harbor attractions include:
· Try Scuba at the DEMA ‘Be a Diver Pool’! – New to the underwater world of Scuba diving? All guests 10 and older are invited to take the plunge at the ‘Be a Diver Pool’. Anyone age 10 and older can submerge themselves into the fun and excitement of Scuba diving in a tropically warm pool, test some of the latest Scuba equipment and have a photo taken underwater as a keepsake.

· Human Aquarium – For guests looking to see the latest diving equipment while staying dry, check out the Human Aquarium from Divers Direct. The aquarium features divers in a clear plexi-glass tank demonstrating the latest and greatest in Scuba technology. Attendees may even spot a mermaid or two!

· Soldiers Undertaking Disabled Scuba (SUDS) Benefit – On Saturday February 19, the Miami International Boat Show, in partnership with volunteers fromthe South Florida Divers Club, will host a reception for Soldiers Undertaking Disabled Scuba (SUDS), an organization which takes wounded Iraq and Afghanistan Soldiers diving and gives them the opportunity to become open water certified. There will be a silent auction throughout the show with items on display at the Dive & Travel Harbor, followed by the reception on Saturday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. The reception is by invitation only.
