The Florida Renaissance Festival at Deerfield Beach’s Quiet Waters Park will be open weekends from 10 a.m. to sunset (including, Monday Feb 21, President’s Day).

Florida Renaissance Festival celebrates 19th year in Deerfield Beach
The grandeur of the 16th century will make its mark in South Florida once again at the 19th annual Florida Renaissance Festival in Deerfield Beach. Join the King, the Queen, and their royal court for five exciting themed weekends, beginning Saturday, February 12th at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach through March 13th. The 16th Century production features more than 100 costumed performers, 12 stages with continuous entertainment and more than 20 stage acts from around the world.

“Every year during early February, South Florida has the unique opportunity to step back into time to a place where majesty and fantasy collide,” said Bobby Rodriguez, executive producer of the Florida Renaissance Festival. “Favorite acts will return and new thrilling acts will début, to warp guests into the mystical 16th century village.”

During the five themed weekends, guests will enjoy jousting tournaments three times a day, hearty food and human powered rides and games for children that include the World’s Largest Rocking Horse, Giant Chess, Barrel Rides, and games of strength and skill. The festival features mystical characters, live entertainment, food and over 100 artisans.

New and exciting acts combine with old favorites to delight guests throughout the festival. This year, hosts King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella will delight crowds with an all new presentation of the world’s most famous love story, Cinderella. The 25 minute act will feature beautiful gowns and costumes, a whirlwind of music and dance, and outrageous comedy. Also new this year, the Honeymoon Cabaret. A Russian Princess and her rapscallion husband have lost all their gold and decide to take their talents to the streets. This is a tale of the romantic duo’s adventure as street performers. The hilarious act features acrobats, magic and juggling.

The festivities will feature historical reenactments, sword fights, magical illusions and an abundance of authentic fare from freshly made kettle corn to roasted giant turkey legs, which can be washed down with a swig of mead or ale.

The Florida Renaissance Festival is produced by the National, award winning Bobby Rodriguez Productions and strives to create an entertaining and cultural opportunity by making Renaissance history come to life for both children and adults.
