New Times and the Florida Panthers present E.A.T!, an evening of epicurean delights and drinks from dozens of South Florida’s most-loved restaurants.

E.A.T! — which stands for “Edible, Artisanal, and Tasteful” — gives guests the chance to participate in an adventure like no other at the arena. E.A.T! is much more than the average food-and-drink festival.

newtimeseatIn addition to featuring samplings of delicious fare, E.A.T! offers guests several unique experiences:
During the E.A.T! Championship, a cooking competition similar to Food Network’s Chopped, two celebrated local chefs will face off in an exciting showdown on the main stage.
Live entertainment from top local bands and DJs will set a party vibe.
Club Lexus is a fantastic elite area featuring exclusive bites, entertainment, and a complimentary bar with offerings by sponsored beer, wine, and spirits companies. The elite area will have a limited capacity.

Chairman’s Club will be transformed into an amazing VIP experience featuring exclusive bites, entertainment, and a complimentary bar with offerings by sponsored beer and wine companies. The VIP area will have a limited capacity.

A percentage of ticket sales will go toward the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, the only organization in Florida that offers the ProStart program, the Lodging Management Program (LMP), the Hospitality & Tourism Management Program (HTMP), and the Skills, Tasks and Results Training program (START). These programs were developed to increase the quality and employability of today’s high-school graduates by providing them with training related to important job skills as well as opportunities for careers and higher education. Students are introduced to careers in food service and lodging and are taught basic skills needed for success in these industries. This is accomplished through dynamic and comprehensive curriculum coupled with on-the-job training.

Unused food from the event will go to LifeNet4Families.

Event Highlights:
E.A.T! will allow visitors to sample goods from more than 50 restaurants.
2016 E.A.T! Championship will take place on the BB&T Center floor where the Monark Kitchen Stage will be located. Two local chefs will face off in an exciting cooking showdown.
2016 E.A.T! Charity Partner is Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA). A percentage of ticket sales will go towards the organization.
