Open the Door to Your Heart: A Night of Impact Returns to South Florida
The Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative (WBHI) invites the community to an unforgettable evening of purpose and celebration as its signature Open the Door to Your Heart Dinner Dance returns on May 8, 2026, at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa.
Marking 21 years of life-saving impact, this highly anticipated event brings together more than 400 community leaders, advocates, and supporters dedicated to advancing early detection and disease prevention across South Florida.
Hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalists Kristi Krueger and Mayte Padron of WPLG Local 10, the evening promises elegance and energy—from exceptional cuisine and cocktails to dancing and live entertainment by the Jon Saxx Entertainment Group.
More than a celebration, the night is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together. WBHI has spent over two decades connecting women, families, and college students to critical health resources—ensuring access to screenings, education, and care coordination that can truly save lives.
This year’s event is led by Co-Chairs Andrés Correa and Bettina Correa, whose leadership continues to expand WBHI’s reach and impact.
Guests will also experience:
– The 2026 Pillar Awards, honoring Turnberry, Jack and Jill South Miami Associates, and Dr. Lorena Rosero
– Exclusive silent and live auctions, featuring once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as a Miami Marlins First Pitch, a Goodyear Blimp ride, a Golden Beach VIP water tour, and a seven-day Princess Cruises voyage
Every moment of the evening supports a greater mission. Proceeds directly fund WBHI’s programs, delivering critical prevention and early detection services to underserved communities across South Florida.
Open the door to your heart—and help open the door to care for someone who needs it most.
