Ten North Group presents From the Green Book to the Groove, a free public jazz and cultural experience taking place across the Ten North Group campus in Opa-locka’s Arts District.
Presented in observance of Black History Month, the evening blends live jazz performance, visual art, and immersive historical installations inspired by The Negro Motorist Green Book.
Rooted in the legacy of Black mobility, resilience, and creativity during segregation, this campus-wide cultural activation invites guests to experience how music, art, and place sustained Black life, enterprise, and cultural expression in the mid-20th century. Rather than a static exhibition, the evening connects historic memory to contemporary practice—emphasizing stewardship, access, and movement.
This program is part of Ten North Group’s ongoing work toward the Florida Museum of Black History, demonstrating cultural readiness through active programming, community engagement, and the activation of historic spaces.
