The Miami Takeover is returning to Miami this Summer from July 24th-27th, 2025 and will deliver an even bigger and better event lineup including a new comedy show and afterparty called “Comedy & Vibes” on Thursday, July 24th, 2025 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in downtown Miami at the Hardrock Cafe Bayside with featured headliner comedian, Kyle Grooms and local South Florida comedians– Brian G. and Bert Cornelius for an unforgettable night, hosted by The Larry Dogg Band.
After the show, it’s the afterparty! Experience a night of laughs, drinks, food and good vibes with friends at the very first event happening during the 17th Annual Miami Takeover. During Thursday night’s comedy show at the Hardrock Cafe Bayside located in downtown Miami, attendees can enjoy a hilarious line up of stand up comedy and then take in the beautiful scenic downtown Miami views and vibes at the afterparty with a live DJ spinning the best hip-hop, R&B, and afro-beats set list. Guests will have access to premium hookah, cocktails and cigar services as they mingle, dance and vibe with new and old friends. As the first official kickoff event of the 17th Annual Miami Takeover, the organizers behind this event can’t wait to host visitors, locals, media, along with new and old friends for a night of connections and unforgettable memories.
The 17th Annual Miami Takeover is proudly supported by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) as a premiere Black cultural event series celebrating Black culture, music, art, comedy, community and nightlife. The Miami Takeover is hitting South Beach and downtown Miami from July 24-27th, 2025, delivering eight exhilarating events that will bring together thousands of Black cultural tastemakers, HBCU grads and more!

Kyle Grooms (Headlining Comedian)
Kyle Grooms is a rising seasoned comedian who has graced stages nationwide, earning his stripes with a half-hour special on Comedy Central and notable appearances on the Chappelle Show, VH1, NBC, BET, CBS, HBO, and a standout role in the film “I Feel Pretty” alongside Amy Schumer.
