Racing aficionados by the dozens will don their snazziest equestrian finery in support of “Rock the Race: A Kentucky Derby Bash” to benefit the programs and services of the Ann Storck Center.

The action packed, fun-filled evening which has become an Ann Storck Center signature event, will feature mint juleps, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and large high-definition TV screen that will feature the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby.

Don’t have a Derby hat? Don’t worry! You can decorate your own Derby hat at the event.

The charitable evening is co-chaired by Susan Renneisen from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Alyssa Lovitt of Timpano Italian Chop House and Roz Perlmutter of Pearl’s Arts & Crafts. Committee members include Debbie Barbuto, Debbie Batts, Monica Correll, Debbie Day, Katie Donahue, Alice Harry, Katie McCarthy, Sarah Moss, Barbara Ouvarov and Dawn Read.

Presented by Passion Nightclub and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to benefit the Ann Storck Center, a nationally-accredited non-profit human service organization. The Ann Storck Center neighborhood campus in Fort Lauderdale features a preschool for infants and toddlers up to five years old, a developmental training program, three family-like homes for children and adults with severe and/or multiple disabilities. The Center also operates five professionally staffed and equipped group homes in other local neighborhoods, including the Gizmo House, a high-tech “smart” single family home for six residents.
