Now through December 16th, the five Chef Creole restaurants will serve as drop off locations for the 2nd annual Little Haiti Optimist Club & Chef Creole Toy Drive. The toys collected will be distributed to kids in the community at the 2nd annual Holiday Celebration event at the In addition, some of the toys collected will also be distributed to orphans and children living in Haiti.

The entire community is invited to participate in the festivities which will include: live entertainment, music by DJ Griot, food, drinks, bounce houses, petting zoo, clowns, games and other fun activities for the entire family. The highlight of the evening will be the distribution of hundreds of toys to the children in the area.

“Many children in our community as well as orphans in Haiti do not have the simple joy of owning toys or receiving gifts for Christmas. This Holiday Toy Drive is our way of assuring that this Christmas will be different for the children of Little Haiti and the orphaned children we are able to touch in Haiti”, says DJ Khaled, president of We The Best Music Group and artist & producer who assisted in donating funds and toys for this effort.

The 2nd annual Holiday Celebration & Toy Drive is made possible because of the commitment to our community by our partners: DJ Khaled We The Best Music Group, WEDR-FM 99 JAMZ, The Miami Marlins, Orange Bowl Committee, Miami Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime, City of Miami, Gateway Airport Concessions and MLK Restaurant.

To support this effort, drop off unwrapped toys to any of the 5 Chef Creole locations. To provide monetary or in-kind contributions, contact our office at 305-390-0234 or email info@littlehaitioptimist.org.
