Contrasts take place in daily life. Images reflect upon connections that are often overlooked and disregarded. In these dichotomies, there exists a third element, the ability to generate an experience based on the juxtaposed images. Once cannot know darkness without light.

A native Colombian, Federico Serrano’s interest in photography began in the mid 70’s when he used his first-ever paycheck to buy a camera. He started traveling and taking pictures around the world in more than 75 countries. He has lived in several cities in Latin America, Europe, and the U.S. Currently he resides in Miami Beach, Florida.
