The Fiber Artists Miami Association celebrates America250 with two FREE family events for children of all ages and abilities. The events will take place at Miami International Fine Arts, 5900 NW 74th Ave. Miami, Fl 33166, on Saturday, July 11, 11-2 and at P71, 230 NW 71 St., Miami, Fl. 33150 on July 25, 11-2. It is funded by the Invisible Sun Foundation and“With the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.”
The Family days will explore the world of fiber art, featuring guided tours, hands-on creative activities, live demonstrations, and interactive learning experiences. Participants will discover contemporary fiber practices while engaging directly with materials, techniques, and artistic processes in a welcoming and accessible environment.
The events are designed to encourage creativity, collaboration, and sensory exploration, offering families the opportunity to create together, learn together, and experience how fiber art connects tradition, innovation, and imagination.
Guests will also enjoy refreshments, prizes, t-shirts, and art activities, all within a warm space dedicated to intergenerational learning and artistic discovery.
