Get ready to be captivated by Dance Now! Miami’s sensational world premiere, “Pop,” from Artistic Director Diego Salterini. “Pop” takes you on an exploration of love, despair, and the exhilaration of life itself. This new work intertwines popular music with significant moments of identity, breaking barriers of mainstream culture in the vibrant 80s and 90s. Prepare for a head-bopping, playful, and sentimental journey as iconic tunes from this era ignite memories and emotions from your past, evoking a powerful coming-of-age experience. The iconic music will be re-imagined by returning DNM Canadian composer Davidson Jaconello from his current station in Poland.

Dance Now! Miami will also showcase work from Miami Dance Luminary Daniel Lewis, presenting his powerful 1981 work “Open Book,” based on his poetry, addressing themes of community and mental illness as well as Co-Director Baumgarten’s abstract contemporary ballet piece “Tethered” which made its debut in 2023 with an original score from Davidson Jaconello and Felix Rosch.

Don’t miss this unforgettable evening of contemporary dance. Dance Now! Miami is ready to transport you to a world of excitement and emotion. Join us as we celebrate the power of music and movement, creating an experience that will resonate with you long after the final curtain falls.
