Orchard Supply Hardware Fort Lauderdale will host a special “Family Fun Day” in support of the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society on Saturday, January 20, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event at Orchard Supply Hardware (2871 N. Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale) will offer guests a history-focused experience with an interactive archaeological dig with the Florida Public Archaeology Network for kids. Adults and children will delight in live pottery making and vibrant Seminole artist demonstrations. Refreshments will be served and a special raffle will take place.

This partnership with the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society is part of Orchard Supply Hardware’s commitment to neighbors helping neighbors. Orchard Supply Hardware will help renovate the New River Inn room for a new school program. Since opening one year ago, the store has been supporting local causes such as Friends of Birch State Park, The Pride Center at Equality Park, South Florida Symphony, John Offerdahl’s Hand Off Foundation, Deliver the Dream, Kiwanis Wilton Manors, Salvation Army and more to be announced.
