Zoo Miami presents “MUSIC OF THE AMERICAS” at Zoo Miami’s Amazon and Beyond Exhibit now through April 2014.

After enjoying a day strolling around Zoo Miami’s beautiful pathways, gazing at more than 2,000 amazing animals in their natural habitats, and enjoying the refreshing shade provided by our 1,200 trees and plants, there is no better way to relax than at our Amazon and Beyond’s Village Plaza, where you can sway to rhythmic samba, dance with exotic Brazilian dancers, or just sit and relax to the soothing sounds of South American flutes, woodwinds, and harp.

\Performances will take place at 1 and 2:15 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Miami-Dade County Schools teacher planning days, and holidays.

Enjoy music and dances from the Amazonas with Luna.
Roberto Perera & Jorge Alfano with Fernando Moraes – These talented musicians feature the harps and flutes of South America. Witness the delightful music produced by the hands of virtuoso harp player Roberto Perera and the multi-talented Jorge Alfano and Fernando Moraes on flutes and strings instruments. This will be a very soothing and entertaining show for listeners of all ages.

And no Latin American musical event would be complete without Brazilian jazz, featuring the Jorge Alfano Trio with Jimmy Daniel & Abel Pavon.
