The “Paul & Young Ron Mornings™” radio show and its hosts Paul Castronovo and “Young” Ron Brewer are heading to the Miami Dolphins game on Sunday, Nov. 20 at Sun Life Stadium to hold a tailgate and the show’s 21st Annual Holiday Food Drive benefiting Feeding South Florida™ (formerly Daily Bread Food Bank).

Before the game, Paul and Young Ron invite the public to join them at the Badia Tailgate at the stadium’s Gate H from 9a – 1p, along with local celebrity chefs, Chef Ralph Pagano, Joe’s Stone Crabs, and a special visit from The Travel Channel: Adam Richman host of Man vs. Food. The chefswill be serving mouthwatering foods such as pulled pork sandwiches, sliders and more. Tickets for the tailgate, which can be purchased on-site, are $10 each. All proceeds from the Badia Tailgate will benefit Feeding South Florida.

For Paul & Young Ron’s 21st Annual Holiday Food Drive, Feeding South Florida representatives will be collecting non-perishable canned goods and dry products (preferably no glass) and money at each of the stadium’s gates from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Some much-needed items include canned meats and tuna, canned stew and pasta, canned juices, rice and beans (dry or canned), canned fruits and vegetables, macaroni & cheese, and peanut butter and jelly (in plastic containers). Alcohol will not be accepted.

Also, food and money donations are being accepted at the web site www.paulandyoungron.com under “Paul & Young Ron’s Food Drive Events,” or at (877) 6-H-U-N-G-E-R. The fastest way to help is to text the word FEED to 52000. A charge of 5 dollars will appear on your cell phone bill. That will be enough to provide more than 35 pounds of food to those who are facing food insecurity.

Each year, Paul and Young Ron, with considerable help from listeners on its four South Florida radio stations, donates contributed money and more than a million pounds of food to feed hungry people in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe Counties.

Donations will go to Feeding South Florida and its network of over 700 agencies. In South Florida alone, 936,000 individuals are food insecure; 36 percent of those served are children. Feeding South Florida provides approximately 29 million pounds of food annually to over 700 agencies throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe Counties. Recently, Feeding South Florida’s agencies are reporting a 39 percent increase in the demand for food services, due to thecurrent economic climate.

“Through their annual food drive, Paul and Young Ron have for many years made a great difference in the lives of South Floridians who are food insecure,” said Judith Gatti, executive director of Feeding South Florida. “The food and funds collected will help many people enjoy holidays filled with much-needed food.”
