Voices United, (VU) a non-profit arts organization for children and youth is hosting a spectacular event on Saturday, October 22, 2011 to collect books for students in Zimbabwe. For the past year, over 72 VU students have collected books to donate to thousands of youth in Zimbabwe and are determined to accumulate more! The Books for Zimbabwe Bash, also marks Voices United’s participation in Make A Difference Day, as 3 million volunteers will rally nation-wide to make a difference in their communities on October 22, 2011!

The Voices United students are a culturally diverse ensemble, ages 10-18, comprised of actors, singers, dancers, musicians & visual artists, representing 30 schools in Miami-Dade County. The passionate students have donated books and time to this magnificent endeavor for over a year.

Bring a donation of books and join the fun! The evening features a DJ, food, henna tattoos, hair wraps and more! Activities and refreshments cost from 2 to 7 tickets. Tickets cost $2.00. All proceeds will help Voices United ship the books to Zimbabwe!

Since 1989, Voices United has helped over 800 young people bring forth messages of unity and peace to over 20,000 audiences through original musical theater productions. For more information please call, 305-726-4822, e-mail Katie@voicesunited.org or visit www.voicesunited.org.
