Le Cercle Français and Pi Delta Phi present Voyageurs
November 16, 12 to 2 pm
FIU Frost Art Museum

I am pleased to extend an invitation to the exhibit: Voyageurs, that will take place on November 16th 2011 in the atrium at the Frost Museum in FIU from 12 to 2 pm. In this exhibit you will have a chance to admire my oil paintings and the photographs by artist Andrea Lahoz.

The theme of the exhibit is: Travelers. The idea is to present through our paintings and photographs different parts of the world that Andrea and I have visited. This event is free to all FIU students, alumni, faculty and staff. Please keep in mind that this event will only be taking place for those 2 hours.

This event is made possible thanks to the generous support and the contribution of the French Club and the French Honor Society at FIU.

In 2009, Jorge Fernandez prepared a backpack full of dreams and desires for adventure and embarked in a transatlantic cruise from the Dominican Republic to London. From there he traveled all around Europe to some of the most fascinating destinations in the old continent. Jorge has a passion for the world and has based his travel philosophy on the motto: Don’t be a tourist, be a traveler.”

In the fall of 2010, Andrea Lahoz circumnavigated the globe on a four-month-long academic voyage. During her Semester at Sea travels, she had the chance to explore 12 different countries including Ghana, India, Vietnam, and Japan. Through her camera lens, she reveals some of the world’s most marvelous cultures.
