Orchestra Miami is proud to continue its series of Free Outdoor Concerts, with three performances of “Beethoven on the Beach, Part III: Clash of the Titans”. These concerts are presented as a gift to the community, completely free of charge. The concerts are co-sponsored by the City of Sunny Isles Beach, the City of Miami Beach and Atlantic Broadband.

• Saturday, March 8, 2014; 8:00 PM at the North Shore Park Bandshell (also known as the “73rd Street Bandshell”), located at 7250 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. Bleacher seating available, but you may also bring your own lawnchair. Concessions available (all proceeds go to support Orchestra Miami) or bring a picnic. Municipal parking available in the lot on the west side of Collins Avenue between 72nd & 73rd streets (free after 6 PM). Children’s activities available prior to the concert.

“Beethoven on the Beach, Part III: Clash of the Titans” features works by Rossini, Mendelssohn and Beethoven, conducted by Orchestra Miami’s Artistic Director, Elaine Rinaldi. This year’s concert begins with the light-hearted Overture to La Scala di Seta by Gioacchino Rossini, followed by the unforgettable Concerto for Violin in E Minor, Op. 64 by Felix Mendelssohn, featuring Orchestra Miami’s Concert Master, Mei Mei Luo, as the soloist. The concert ends with Beethoven’s joyous Symphony N. 2 in D Major, Op. 36.
