Merlin’s magical ball is illuminating with a mystical light pointing south to the magical kingdom known as the Florida Renaissance Festival, as it emerges for its 22nd year in South Florida at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, Florida from February 8, 2014 to March 16, 2014.

“We are the time capsule that people imagine in their dreams. Bringing the fantasy characters they envisioned to life,” said Bobby Rodriguez, founder of the Florida Renaissance Festival. “From the youngest child to those adults young at heart, we have fun and entertainment for all ages. Either witness it or be part of the different weekend fantasy themes, as there is a festival role for everyone at the Florida Renaissance Festival.”

For the 2014 festival season, the royal court announces a variety of fan favorite acts and performers returning to the Florida Renaissance Festival. Premier musical acts such as festival circuit favorite Cantiga; performing historical music on original instruments such as the medieval bagpipes, shawms and bombastic Wolgemut; bringing traditional sea music, history and stories to the stage, Rambling Sailors. First time ever at Deerfield Beach, the comedy acrobatic sensations known as Kamikaze Fireflies and back due to popular demand, The Duelists, with their dazzling display of comedy and sword fighting brilliance. Labeled as “Don’t Miss” acts in festivals throughout North America, The Limeybirds, combining high-energy antics with sharp wit, banter and their stunning harmonies, and vocal arrangements.

In 2014, Florida Renaissance Festival is unveiling the new interactive Mystery Quest. This quest will immerse audience members as detectives throughout the festival village looking for clues and solving puzzles while interacting with cast performers.

* Romance Weekend – “Wine & Chocolate” – February 8 and 9 – Kids Free (12 and younger).
* Pirates Weekend – “Pillage the Village” – February 15, 16 and 17.
* Wenches Weekend – “Bodacious Bodices” – February 22 and 23.
* Time Travelers Weekend – “From Steampunk to the Stars” – March 1 and 2.
* Game of Thrones Inspired Weekend – March 8 and 9.
* St Patrick’s Weekend – “We’re going Green” – March 15 and 16.

The Florida Renaissance Festival is produced by the nationally acclaimed Bobby Rodriguez Productions and strives to create an entertaining and cultural experience for adults and children alike. The Florida Renaissance Festival at Deerfield Beach’s Quiet Waters Park will be open weekends beginning February 8th from 10 a.m. to sunset (including, Monday February 17th, President’s Day) until March 16th. Prices range from $20.00 for adults and $9 for children ages 6 to 11 years of age. Children 5 and younger are free. Special seasonal passes are available for $65 and group ticket rates are also offered.

The Florida Renaissance Festival in Deerfield Beach has been seen by more than two million people during its royal period in South Florida.
