After her great performance last month, Von Henry comes back accompanied by a pianist to perform music of Bessie Smith and Fats Waller for our concert of music of the twenties.

Von Henry is a singer whose influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, as well as Aretha Franklin, and Shirley Ceasar, not that you could tell.
Since 2008 she stars as Bessie Smith, the Empress of the Blues, on Barry Edelson’s play: Bessie’s back in town.
