Miami Beach Attorney and Miami Children’s Young Ambassador (MCYA) Leadership Committee Member Michael Grieco and WSVN’s Louis Aguirre are hosting a fundraiser to support Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) on Friday, September 9 at 7 p.m. at The Well on Miami Beach.

“As a father, I feel blessed to have one of America’s best children’s hospital in my city that gives kids the best chance at life,” says Michael Grieco. “As a member of MCYA, my goal is to help spread awareness for Miami Children’s Hospital so that children and parents all over South Florida can continue to receive the excellent care that MCH provides.”

MCYA is a membership organization for young professionals between the ages of 22 and 45 who have a strong commitment to improving the lives of children in our community and beyond. Members have the opportunity to network with prestigious business and community leaders, meet with key Miami Children’s personnel and determine how their donations can best be used to benefit the patients and families at MCH.

MCH is dedicated to providing world-class care to children from our community and throughout the United States, Caribbean and across the globe. The hospital has 10 pediatric specialty services among the best in the nation, according to U.S.News & World Report’s 2011-12 “America’s Best Children’s Hospitals” rankings. MCH has 289 pediatric and neonatal beds, the largest children’s cancer center in the region, more than 40 pediatric specialties and subspecialties, South Florida’s only free-standing pediatric trauma center and the largest clinical neurology program in the nation.

In addition, MCH offers six outpatient centers – Doral, Miami Lakes, Palmetto Bay, Weston, West Kendall and Palm Beach County – to accommodate the increasing demand for pediatric outpatient and specialty services in various communities throughout South Florida. Committed to being “where the children are,” the hospital hopes to open more centers to enhance additional community access to MCH-quality care and expertise in the near future.

With goal of helping children with medical needs and raising awareness for MCH, the fundraiser is open to the public and guests are encouraged to make a monetary donation at the door.
