This event is part of a series of events, in NY and Los Angeles, where the dance music industry meets the beauty salon community – in solidarity with women around the world. (read more below). Proceeds benefit NextAid’s projects in Kenya and Sierra Leone. This event also ties into Winter Music Conference, where NextAid is involved in other additional events and panels. The events will raise awareness and funds for NextAid’s projects on the ground in Africa that directly benefit the lives of women and children. In recognition of the transformative dynamics of the hair industry NextAid, along with DJs aligned for social change, has partnered with progressive beauty salons in cities from Los Angeles to New York City to host unique fundraisers that celebrate the style and essence of each salon.
