Piecework Legacies features experimental quilted works by seven South Florida artists: Lauren Baccus, Regina Durante Jestrow, Bex McCharen, Emily Peters, Carrie Sieh, Pangea Kali Virga, and Carrington Ware. The exhibition explores how quilting continues to evolve through innovative materials, techniques, and forms.

The works range from soft sculpture to multimedia assemblage, often incorporating reused materials and reimagining the possibilities of quilting today.

On view at the Downtown branch of the Miami-Dade Public Library, the exhibition also includes a selection of quilting books and related public programs, including a panel and film screening.
