Ever wanted to understand how sound can function as an active force reshaping time-based media in real time?

This month, join interactive designer Diago L for a hands-on workshop exploring live animation using Tagtool on iPad paired with TouchDesigner and StreamDiffusion. Participants will learn how to connect tablets to a TouchDesigner patch, generate responsive visuals from gesture-based drawing, and experiment with how prompts and movement data morph into evolving projected environments. No prior experience is required. A limited number of iPads will be available to share, and artists of all skill levels are encouraged to #BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop… or Tablet!) and follow along.

7pm Workshop | Diago L: Real-Time Animation with Tagtool x TouchDesigner
Interactive designer Diago L leads a beginner-friendly introduction to live animation workflows using Tagtool and TouchDesigner. Participants will create simple real-time setups, explore diffusion-based visual transformation, and experiment with gesture-driven generative imagery.

9pm Performance | Diego Melgar
Musician Diego Melgar expands the system into a live audiovisual performance, routing an original Ableton set directly into TouchDesigner via custom plugins. Using music as a source, Melgar will modulate, diffuse, and reshape the visuals generated during the workshop in real time, creating an improvised digital environment responding to an original composition.
