Trumpeter Charles Lazarus—a member of the Minnesota Orchestra whose career has included major brass ensembles such as Canadian Brass, Dallas Brass, and Meridian Arts Ensemble—brings virtuosity and genre-bending energy to the stage. He is joined by organist David Cherwien, a nationally respected conductor and composer who serves as Cantor at Mount Olive Lutheran Church (Minneapolis) and has led the National Lutheran Choir as artistic director.

Together, the Cherwien/Lazarus Duo presents an evening that moves freely across styles, featuring duo versions of Steve Heitzeg’s crossover concerto American Nomad alongside selections from their Modern Hymn Project.
