Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida is bringing back the Ballet Fairy Doll to the stages of the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

“Fairy Doll”, originally “Die Puppenfee” by composer Josef Bayer and first performed in 1888, was one of the most successful productions in the late 19th century. Issaev’s recreation and revival of this ballet in two acts, was first premiered in 2009 with absolute success.

Bayer’s exciting and beautiful music was Issaev’s inspiring factor to create a magnificent choreographic work in a production that includes imaginative costumes designed by Jorge Gallardo and sets created by painter and artist Elena Bond. Principal dancers Kaori Fukui, Jun Tanabe and Yhosvani Rodriguez, will have the lead parts alternating with DeeDee Rosner, Kohhei Kuwana and Fan Shi.

The ballet tells the story of a young boy who works in a Doll Store that has distinctive dolls from different countries and different kinds and a beautiful Fairy Doll. Customers just fall in love with the stunning doll.

At the end of the day, the owner of the store closes the shop, and the young and distracted assistant is left alone, locked inside the store. As the night falls, the tired young boy cannot believe his eyes! The Fairy Doll comes to life, and with her magic, she brings all the toys of the store to life.

After the successful performances of The Nutcracker of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, South Florida audiences are looking forward to another opportunity to attend with their family to see this adorable ballet, for an affordable ticket price of $25.00.

There will be more than 60 dolls that will come to life March 3 & 4 at the Aventura Arts and Cultural Center and later on March 10 and 11 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
